Can’t beat the versatility and functionality of this for the price.
I do a ton of backwoods camping and outdoor adventure filming. Often in winter. So i have not had a chance to try this in real situation yet. However. Ive used a lot of different types of gear related to outdoor adventure and sporting, and sleep systems innpaticular. It seems versatile. But I would not rely on it as my primary sleep solution. The more I look at this item it strikes me more as an emergency item. Or a backup to an existing sleep system. Would be a great item for a bugout bag. But for someone just camping. There are better options out there. Of course not for 6$…like this item. And thats something to keep in mind. Knowing you always have a place to lay your head. For low weight and low bulk, Compared to traditional sleep systems. 6$ is a small price to pay. This is small enough to fit in a belt pouch.Honestly I was going to just give this 3 stars but I can’t. Simply due to the price. For 6$ buy it. You can’t go wrong. Just keep in mind. It’s rather small for a full sleeping hammock. So don’t let this hammock turn you off to hammock camping if you do NOT like it. Larger hammocks are much wider to allow you to lay diagonally. This allows you to lay flat. Instead of like a banana. Marrow Banana hammocks are bad. Wide hammocks are good. < Free life lesson5 stars. Can't beat the versatility of this for the price.

REASONABLE VALUE budget string hammock – KEY POINTS HERE
This is a reasonable value budget string/rope hammock (current price point $6).Key points:- Course mesh size is not comfortable for long term stay. i.e. the string/rope mesh spacing is too far apart and not closely spaced like a better quality rope/string hammock.- this is long enough about 8 feet length.- does not include any hardware for mounting, but that is really expected at this price point, The steel rings look stout enough for anything.- it does indeed appear is strong enough rope/string for reasonable use.- yet lightweight if you are carrying in your day packIf you are looking for a backpack camping hammock for sleeping overnight in, move on. You do not want this. If you just want some thing for the back yard to lounge in occasionally, this may suit your needs and only 6 bucks (add your own tree straps and hooks). Please let us know if this is “Helpful”. Cheers ! !

Leaves a lot to be desired
I love hammocks on a sunny day. I had a few hammocks over the last decade and they all fell apart if left in the sun too long. I was hoping that this one would last longer, and as of yet, it is lasting the week that it is up.But that is not the whole story of this hammock. It’s installed, but it’s not as if there are any installation hardware with this thing. Be prepared to supply your own. Not a big deal considering the price. The problem I have with this hammock is that it’s just plain cheaply made. It does not feel nice, especially when you lay in it. It makes me feel like an onion in an onion bag held up by an angry teenager forced to go shopping with his parent.

An absolute steal
I got this hammock on a lark, since it was super inexpensive and I couldn’t believe that it could possibly be high quality at that price. I was wrong! It’s really nice – not nicer than my (significantly more expensive) hammock, but still nice enough to see some use during the summer. I particularly like that it packs down into a very compact and lightweight bundle, and could fit into a backpack.

Short, large net
I wanted an emergency hammock to keep off the ground when resting in a survival situation. The product I received seems to be an upgrade from the product pictured. The ends have a metal rings to hold it up.This is a compact hammock that hold 300 lbs. It has thick rope (I’m not sure what material exactly) that stretches under weight. The net spacing is very wide and the hammock is relatively short. I attempted to put it up in a way I could show what it would look like with a person using it. The net is not very long, so I think you would need it lowish to the ground, but the rope also stretches a lot (and makes noise like it is under strain), so I’m not sure exactly how high you would need to set it. With the wide net spacing, and strain noises as you move about, I don’t feel comfortable that this wouldn’t fail on me in short order, besides being uncomfortable to lay in (even with the thick rope). Maybe after an hour I might feel more comfortable. I see no visible flaws or improper assembly of the hammock.Given the price, this is a quality deal for what you get. Better than many more expensive hammocks. In the end, I’m just not sure about this hammock for most people, but it will work for my survival purposes. Given the price point it deserves 5 stars. I take 1 star for the straining noises of the rope (which gives the fear of failing). That might be too harsh.

Nice hammock.
Like my other nylon string hammock this is decent quality and nice weight and size, although this one is much longer, and will fit me better and with not much of a packed size or weight deficit. Seems well made and solid. It’s a decent hammock. No problems. Good for backpacking because of small and lightweight packing. Much smaller and lighter than a closed knit fabric hammock that isn’t super expensive. to get to this pack size and weight you’ll have to go pretty pricy so a nice little nylon rope hammock like this is awesome for packing sake, as well as drying, it will air out and dry much faster than some fabrics. (slower than others though too).I would recommend, great product, super simple, and a cheap alternative to get hammocking on trail.
