After taking forever to meticulously weave the lights in and around our gate, only one strand works, but to get my money back, I have to unwrap BOTH strands and return them. Very frustrating. The one strand that works is gorgeous, we had already ordered a second box of the same lights before realizing they were defective.Update- both strands are working- not going to return than and giving 5 stars

Great for decor but need more power
Cons – not very bright and supposed to hold a charge for 6 to 8 hours but I have yet to see them make it past four hours yet for the red lens. So a bigger panel and more brightness would definitely be appreciated.Pro – very simple set up and definitely makes me feel better knowing it’s not going to increase my power bill to have these set up as decor. The capability to change modes on what the light do are an extreme plus and I like how if I time it just right, they go along with just about any music. Or you can leave them stationary if you just like the look which is what I do mostly.Great for the money other than the two cons mentioned above.

Awful (white/multi), DO NOT BUY
As someone else stated just a few days ago, the version of this that is supposed to switch modes between white and multicolor is horrible!!The remote is worse than useless (usually switches to the wrong mode from what you clicked, and even then you have to be inches from the solar panel portion), the battery life is awful, and you have no real control over the modes! Whatever mode you have it set to, that is not what it will stay at. It seems to cycle randomly through all modes (white, super pale color, somewhat pale color, bright color, each variation flashing, flashing between variations, fading between variations, etc), which I’m sure doesn’t help the already-poor battery life.We have used the exact same kind of lights for the last 2 years (not just winter, year-round as a marker for a turn in the road!), but they were killed by a careless lawn mower a few months back and aren’t available to buy anymore, so we tried this brand as a replacement. Big mistake. I just wish we had been able to put them up when we had planned, so we would’ve known how bad they are in time to return them. As it is, they will probably go in the trash.The only use for these is if you want about 3 hours of completely random unpredictable light.

What I liked most is how practical they are. They don’t need any cables or plugs, and they work perfectly with solar energy. During the day, you barely notice the solar panel, and at night, the lights turn on automatically, illuminating the tree with a lovely effect.

Pretty but Unreliable
I purchased 4 sets of these lights in warm white to light up my deck’s railings. Overall I absolutely love the way they look, they’re a really nice bright, warm white as described. They look perfect on my patio and they’re exactly what I was looking for. But the reason why I’m giving these 3 stars is because one set has completely stopped working after only one month of use. I purchased these and set them up on June 16th. Today is July 16th, 30 days later, and unfortunately one of the sets has already completely stopped working. It stopped working right after a good rainstorm which is what I’m assuming caused that one set to fail. My deck is in direct sunlight all day until sunset, so it’s definitely not an issue of solar panel placement. I think this was just a faulty set. I love the other 3 sets but I’m disappointed that one has stopped working. I expected them to last at least a year or two but now I’m not so sure. Now my lighting looks weird and I wasted my money. I will most likely purchase a new set from another manufacturer.

I use these lights all summer long starting on Memorial day until after Labor day. They last and this will be the second year I have used this brand. Love that they automatically turn on and off each night. They last even in the rain.
