    Nice Tent, Watch Height
This tent came highly recommended for motorcycle camping due to the small size it can easily pack down to, and the fact it includes a vestibule option. After purchasing and setting up, I can see why this tent is recommended.Set up is quick and straightforward. First time I’ve set up a tent in about 8 years and I had the whole thing (including rain fly) done in 15 minutes working in my garage. Second time I had it down to about 7 minutes, this time including staking out the vestibule. Assembled the tent is still lightweight enough to pick up and adjust if needed. The only challenge I ran into is the final assembled size. I’m 6′ tall, and I’ve got a couple back issues so I opted to purchase a cot rather than a ground pad for sleeping. When the cot is in the tent, the curvature is just enough that I can’t lay completely flat with the flap zipped without my toes or head against the tent material. Sleeping with a slight bend in my knees easily rectified this, but it’s something to be mindful of.Overall, I’m quite pleased with this tent, and I look forward to using it on a number of trips for years to come.

    Great Tent!
This is a great tent for some casual backpacking. I think it is a bit too heavy for a thru hiker though.I’ve only used it on one trip but it performed well. It seems pretty durable so far, especially the poles which feel very high quality.I can’t say much about waterproofness. I was expecting rain so I sprayed it with some Scotchgard to be safe. For what it’s worth, it didn’t leak. I can’t say as much for my “rain jacket..”I liked that the rainfly connects with buckles – makes it super easy and quick to attach or remove. There’s also 2 pockets inside and loops at the top for a shelf, though none was included with the tent. It would have been neat if the tent storage sack seconded as the shelf. As I said earlier, it is a bit on the heavy side.Tent weight: 3lb, 4ozPoles weight: 1lb, 3.2ozStakes weight: 6.5ozTotal weight: 4lb, 15.2ozIf you’re fine with the weight then I think you’ll be happy with this tent.

    Rainproof
I got this tent for our teenage son. It is by far one of the easiest tents I ever installed. One person less than five minutes. It went through some very heavy half a day rain and mild winds and not a spot of rain in the tent. It is very good quality fabric with aluminum poles. The footprint is one of the shortest we ever owned. It is bit of a stretch and quite a bit shorter than the floor area, but it still works. The tent does not have window or vent in the back of the rainfly. It gets reeeeaaaaaly hot in warm weather. You will need a fan in the summer. The poles are rather thin. Not like our Kelty Parthenon. I don’t know how good will they fare in strong winds.

    Very nice tent
I have a tent that is nearly the same size from Mountain Hardwear… the nimbus. Actually this kelty tent goes together more easily and I think the design is better thought out, especially how the fly attaches in the other attachment parts.. The only downside is it is it just a little heavier than my Mountain Hardwear tent. For that reason I chose to take the Mountain Hardware tent on my long through hike that I did recently however at just about a pound more this kelty would have been fine also. One tip about backpacking from someone who has spent a lot of time doing it is take the most comfortable backpack. A pound or two is not going to make much of a difference. What matters most is how comfortable your pack is.

Good tent! Could be an inch or two bigger in my opinion. Read on for ranty thoughts!
TLDR: All the good things people say about this tent are true just double-check your expectations if you are wavering on size. I wish they had a 2.5-person option.Bought this for primarily car camping at dirt bike rallies but wanted something small enough to pack onto the back of a dual sport for longer moto-camping trips. After spending 4 nights in this tent, 2 of which involved a lot of rain, I am happy and dry.I did lay out the tent measurements with tape on the floor before purchasing but I still overestimated the size of this tent somehow. The measurements are true but I guess I failed to account for the pitch of the walls and how quickly that space drops in a tent, especially with any type of inflatable underlayment (I had about 2″ under me). I don’t think I will be offering any tent space up unless we’re REALLY close (or cold). While laying lengthwise in the tent at 6’0″, I felt that I was struggling to not touch the tent on both ends. I was able to find a nice “sweet spot” where I was able to comfortably stretch out but a tiny shift and I was rubbing either my feet or head on the tent (which is doable with how soft this tent feels). This will mostly be used as a 1-person tent where I can easily sleep diagonally and be plenty comfortable, but I was hoping it would be big enough for 2 in certain situations. Just a couple of extra inches in each direction would make a huge difference in this being a regular-guy 2-person tent and not a backpacking 2-person tent. Unless my “roommate” is a backpacker, I’m going to get weird looks offering to share space in this tent.Kinda wishing I would have gone for the Alps Lynx 3-person but I can’t fault this tent for being what it is advertised as. The pack size and weight advantages of this tent over the Lynx are substantial and I believe I could pack this tent a lot smaller than is advertised with minimal effort which is a huge plus. The poles are only about 13.5″x2″ so it is easy to stay compact.I do have yet to figure out how to get out of this tent without dripping water into the inside if there is any moisture on the fly. That is probably a “me” problem and this was still minimal with only several drips at worst and it is a tent after all…
