Works very Well
KLIM Everest Laptop Cooling Pad works very well. The unit is quiet and if you’re into it, it has cool lighting affects but most importantly it keeps very laptop cool when running “hot” running games. When not gaming, the fans can be turned down, even full off, when auxiliary cooling support is not required- Same with the lights. It fits my Alienware G16 well and it looks to accommodate wide screens (like 18″). It’s really not possible to do any serious “gaming” without auxiliary cooling this seems to be a good choice. The entire unit is rugged plastic and seems to be strong enough but I’m not very rough on my gear – I assume if you a hard on your equipment legs and air-deflectors could be damaged. Lastly, the foam ring seal used to cradle the laptop is easily modified to fit and is held in place by magnets, vs tape – nice touch.

Cools my Acer 5 Nitro
This works great! It consistently keeps my Acer 5 Nitro GPU and CPU cooler by at least 10 degrees Celsius, compared to only using my computer’s internal fans on “maximum” while gaming. I’m able to get that level of cooling with the cooling pad’s fans on medium (which are not very loud) and also lowering the speed of my internal computer fans (which are pretty loud) to “performance”. So adding this cooling pad has lowered both the internal temperatures of my computer and the external sounds from the fans, net win! Also it’s pretty well engineered. The foam seal means the only air coming into your laptop first goes through the cooling pad’s removable dust protectors, and the exhaust area has these add-on fins to keep the warm air leaving your laptop from re-entering the cooling pad’s intake. It’s also very sturdy but lightweight, and the lighting options are nice yet non obtrusive.

good cooler with one very annoying problem. EDIT: dont bother buying it
this was a really good cooler except for one annoying thing. they have a foam strip around the top of the cooler and for some reason they didnt use any kind of glue to keep it attached. the foam comes loose and its very annoying. they need to glue the foam strip down or figure some way to keep it better attached. dont bother buying it until they figure out a better way to attach the foam strip. other than that it works really great, it keeps my laptop cooler than any cooler ive had before. and yes the lights are really nice, it has a lot of color settings. oh and there are plenty of good fan speeds. the noise is a little much at max fan speeds but thats not a deal breaker. instead of drawing air from the bottom the cooler draws air from the back of the cooler, that seems to give it better and colder air flow. FIX THE FOAM and i would give this a full 5 stars and retract my complaints. EDIT: DONT BOTHER BUYING IT. 10 minutes after giving this review one of the plastic stands just broke off

Big difference
As with all laptops, it gets very hot when gaming, but with this cooling pad I can feel a real difference. The bottom of my laptop feels and stays cool to the touch. You can increase or decrease the fan speeds and even at full power, the fans are still not as loud as the laptop’s. Unlike other pads, no extra power needed other than usb port.

Best solution to an overheating laptop
When my HP Spectre laptop over heated twice in the three years, the most recent of which it did not turn on at all I had to bring it in for servicing. During that time I bought this from Amazon Prime to avoid recurrence of the same problem. I’ve now used this for 2+ weeks, the laptop remains cool or warm with the fan setting at 1 whenever I operate the laptop. I’ll switch to the next setting of 2 when it’s summer. Form and function are optimal with his cooling pad, because one can easily switch to different modes of color–multi-magenta-green-blue–while using it, even switch them off altogether.

So much better than the usual cooling pads
My laptop is running a Ryzen 7 5000 series which is designed to run hot. Hotter than you’d expect to be normal. And summer where I live doesn’t help. Even with Zen3 it gets hot.When I’m running heavy processes or rendering it’ll touch 210f. I’ve tried risers and all kinds of cooling pads and they made no difference. This thing is next level. At idle CPU runs at around 115-140. If I’m running a heavy 3D render then it’ll still hit 200, but temps drop really fast when it’s done. I know it’s designed to run hot but still, I want to preserve longevity as much as possible. Please everything runs smoother when it’s cool.At full tilt the fan is definitely not silent but it’a really not crazy. I don’t really use RGB lighting but I did test it and I’m sure some people will love it. Setup was simple. My laptop fits perfectly on the foam seal if I remove the inner top section. Otherwise that foam bit blocks my under vents. I do love that you can do that with the foam to adapt to your laptop.

Laptop was hot, Laptop is now slightly less hot. It does help if even a little and cools down my laptop more than any other one I’ve tried. It also has a pretty neat name and isnt really that loud..Dont expect a massive difference but it will help.

I had the laptop cooler for just a bit over a year and it was perfect. I was able to play more games and have longer game sessions than I could before, as my laptop overheated very quickly. But unfortunately, one of the fans recently started making a distracting buzzing sound which wouldn’t go away even when cleaned with air compression. The cooler still functioned normally, but it was very distracting to my housemates. I got in contact with KLIM’s customer service and they very kindly sent me another one! Top notch product and service!
