, Born in the backcountry of the Wasatch Mountains, Klymit has been challenging the conventional approach to outdoor gear since 2007. Now based in Kaysville, Utah, our passion is spending time outdoors with the people you care about. We know nothing ruins a camping or backpacking trip like a poor night’s sleep in a tent, which is why we work hard every day to create gear that is comfortable, easy to use, and engineered for every adventure. Our team designs and tests all of our gear, especially our inflating pump beds and mattresses, in the illustrious deserts and mountains of Utah to ensure everything is durable, high-quality, value-driven, and most importantly, comfortable. We believe life is better when you are outdoors with those you love. It doesn’t matter where you are, it matters who you’re with. We’re here to make your outdoor experience the best one yet.
ALL THE COMFORT OF HOME. Sleep better all night with our exclusive V-Chamber design that conforms to the shape of your body, limiting air movement while maintaining lofted air pockets. Dynamic side rails lightly cradle you for a more restful sleep.
4 SEASON INSULATION. This mat’s V-Chambers are filled with light and lofty Klymalite synthetic insulation. With an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, enjoy another warming layer between you and the cold ground.
INFLATE IN SECONDS. Thanks to our easy-to-use air valve, you’re always only 10 – 15 breath blows away from experiencing the original V-Chambered air pad that changed the way people sleep outside. Deflate the Static V just by opening the valve.

    Great and Rugged
Used this for an army exercise. It was great. Very comfortable, easy to use, compact, durable. Only issue is the inflate/deflate valve popped out, its easy to put back in, but it was an unexpected thing. Still 5 stars in my book.Update 1 Year later: Still a great product. Used it in multiple exercises at this point and a few personal camp outings. Still no issue (i somehow lost the compression bag it goes it tho). Its quick to inflate, doesn’t deflate super quick though. I do “force air out” but i don’t do it too hard for fear of cause a hole or busting a seam. I do notice that when i shift my weight or sit up on this pad, I hear a squeak now. Not sure what causes it, or if its signs of a developing problem. Still doesn’t leak though. I tested this down to 7 degrees F (-14C). I could feel the cold radiating through the pad. Even in my -40F sleep system. It kind of sucked, but at those temperatures i probably should be using a different product. Still not disappointed. Still recommend.

    A good nights sleep!
This is a great pad. It is lightish and fairly insulating. I live in Texas so don’t need a super warm pad. The great feature about this pad aside from being tan (why are there not more subdued color pads?) is the inflation/deflation valve, it is awesome! You flip it one way to inflate and just blow it up. When deflating you flip it around and it only lets air out so that you can roll it up to remove all of the air and then you don’t have to find the valve again to close it or anything. Love it!The additional cap that goes over the valve when inflated is a bit tough to close but this gives me comfort knowing it will not pop off in the middle of the night. It has an o ring to prevent any air getting out.Tip! Always put your sleep pad inside of your bivy or sleeping bag to protect it and get the full thermal benefits.

Great sleeping pad, will save your back
I bought the Klymit Static V sleeping pad about 2 1/2 years ago for my time in the Marine Corps in place of our issued sleep pad and have used it numerous times. It is exponentially more comfortable than typical foam sleeping mats and traps heat incredibly well, protecting you from the cold Earth at night. It packs down very small and is very light weight, I rolled it right inside of my sleeping system for storage when hiking to new bivouac sites. The fabric is sturdy and does not tear easily, I’ve not had any tears or damage to the pad so far. There are a few downsides that I found while using. The inflation/deflation port is strange and a little weird to get used to, however it works rather well and doesn’t allow air out or in unless you want it to. When sleeping on the pad, it makes a relatively noisy squeaking sound when settling in and any movement causes additional noise- if noise discipline matters for your application. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this product for avid backpackers or military service members that want to save their backs.

Kept me warm on frozen ground.
It’s a great insulated pad. I’m happy with it. I’ve used it in the snow on frozen ground. It comfortable to lay on. It’s easy to inflate and deflate. I’ve also have the non insulated verson and have used it over a 100 times and holds up well. It packs small. I think ot worth every penny.

Fantastic sleeping pad, does not feel budget!
Backpackers and outdoorspeople know just how expensive the hobby can be. This sleeping bag is found on many ‘budget’ lists. After using this and the Nemo tensor (way more expensive), I can wholeheartedly say that I like my Klymit V better! The insulation is very nice, and the V pattern is super comfortable to sleep on. If you are deciding between this and a more expensive option because you are worried about quality, go with this one!!

    Not for the winter
Comfortable for warmer weather, but is insufficiently insulated for the winter in colder climates. The advertised r-value is extremely generous. Fits nicely in my bivy and doesn’t weigh too much

    Works well. Easy to inflate/deflate
This mattress works well. More comfortable and less noisy than other air mattresses that I have used in the past. Inflates fairly quickly and deflates easily. The reversable air port is genius.

Klymit construction seems sturdy. Comfortable sleeping mat given the size, while lying flat or rolling to your side. Little narrow in the shoulders, though with the inflated rail part its comfortable enough. Haven’t tested the insulation component just yet but happy with the packed size and weight.

I held off on buying this product for years, thinking “how much better can this be, compared to my current inflatable sleeping pad?” It turns out that the answer is: vastly better. On a recent trip, I did not feel the cold from the ground through the sleeping pad. I also found it much more comfortable (as a side-sleeper, tent camping can be uncomfortable on the hips).Wish I had bought this years ago!

Great product. Used it a couple of times now and it has stayed up all night. It’s only thin so doesn’t have a lot of insulation however I stayed warm enough on a 2 degrees Celsius morning. Doesn’t take many blows to inflate and I found it easy enough to roll up into the bag, as long as you roll it up first to let the air out, then roll it up again to put away in the bag.

Used this whilst hiking and camping the West Highland Way this year. R value is good and the mat kept me warm. The mat is very comfortable and has provided a very comfortable sleep. The mat is also robustly made and reassured me that the baffles inside won’t pop like my old Thermarest X-Lite did.So far all good (I’m still walking the WHW). Inflation takes about 20-30 puffs. Can definitely recommend. At just under a kilo, it’s on the heavy side for a mat, but I think the comfort, warmth and reassurance it provides is worth the grammes.
