So there are a lot of choices for led stage lights.And this one reminds me of 2006… led stage lights are new, and the slimpar 56 is the most popular one… except that light was $150. This light acts just like that one, it is poor color mixing, simple controls. And really dim.I do not recommend it.But it is a fully working light, so… you choose.

This light is great! It’s probably overkill for my needs, but it’s doing what I wanted it to do, so that’s all that matters. It’s heavy duty and well made. A dj would appreciate the quality of this light. It’s got a lot of settings and customizations, but I just set it to music and let er ride. It was simple to hang. I’ve got it mounted to my ceiling about 6″ off of the wall. It shines its lights down and covers a large area of the floor. For the price, you’re getting a lot in a form factor that should last for a long time. I’m very pleased with it and it is a good value for what you get.

This light is as described. The light is sound activated and has a remote for changing the colors. We have been using it as a strobe light in our Halloween barn. The strobing effect is great with single color or multicolor. Good price.

SOLID!
I’ve ordered a few of these. This one is solid. It weighs a little more than the plastic hexagon shaped ones I’ve also purchased before. It has a fan that comes on when you plug it in but I think that improves the life. I’ve installed a few of the hexagon shaped and if you leave them on for a long extended period of time (days) the capacitors on the power supply inside explode. It’s an easy fix if you don’t mind getting out a soldering gun but that’s above most peoples knowledge. This is a well made light.

Strong, Budget Stage Light with Meh RGB Control
BLUF: This unit offers a ton of power and control at an affordable price, but the inconsistent dimming of the red track makes using these a bit irritating. The legs are also a bit irritating.POSITIVES:- All-metal body- LEDs covered in ‘diamond cut’ diffusers to give the light some spread- Controls on back of unit enable most basic features without use of a DMXNEGATIVES:- Light is still very directional, even with diffusers; could be a positive or negative given your usecase- Red track dims significantly quicker than blue or green, causing all colors to ‘fade to cyan’ regardless of RGB value (see video)- Instructions did not appear to indicate where to place rubber washer between the front/back legs as they connect to the body. The order should be setting screw, leg 1, rubber washer, leg 2, then light body. If you do it any other way, the legs collapse during use.- Remote is cheap/inconsistent (sometimes works, other times has to be pointed DIRECTLY into IR sensor at close range).NARRATIVE: This light does the basic function of a stage light pretty well. I wanted to start with that because I observed a number of negatives that don’t really detract from that. The light throw is very good (see image of my shining light against trees ~40-50ft away) and it gets respectibly bright given how inexpensive it is. For most amateur uses, this would be great for providing backlight.With that said, this unit has a few frustrations. The first I noticed was that the legs didn’t have any instructions, which was the most minor of inconvenience. The second thing I noticed was the fan which was a TAD loud. Given that I was going to use this in a home studio setting, the sound of the fan was a tad more than I’d like, but I have to admit that it must work: I couldn’t feel the unit get hot at all. The third thing I noticed, and probably the most frustrating, is that the green and blue channels appear to fade like normal while the red channel fades to ‘off’ well before the others. This means that every time you try to fade the unit, you get a slight cyan shift before the light turns off. Now, I did not test this unit hooked up to my DMX, so maybe that would mitigate the issue. However, given that this unit offers nearly full control via rear menus and some control using a remote, I would have hoped the red would track the same as the green/blue.Speaking of the remote, this is of the cheap type you typically find with less expensive RGB equipment. It does the job… I guess… but inconsistently. Some times I was able to control the light from across a room, bouncing the signal off a wall. Other times I had to literally get 6 inches from the IR sensor before the unit would register my input. You can somewhat see this in my video where I try to demonstrate the inconsistent RGB dimming. I am pressing the remote at a constant rate but you can see the unit randomly fails to register a user input.CONCLUSIONS: Overall, this unit is ‘fine’. I’m not worried it’s going to spontaneously stop working and it does allow for decent color control using the RGB values on the back menu. Still, for anyone wanting something for a more polished application, you may be frustrated at the fade-to-cyan effect. I give this two stars because it performs the basic functions of a stage light, but only with some pretty noticeable and unavoidable frustrations that you must “fight through” just a tad. Does that mean I wouldn’t recommend it? At $27 it may be worth the hassle. If it’s on sale below that, it’s definitely worth the potential issues.

This is a cool party light! It has a metal construction and feels very solid.It’s has multiple features.different color settings for solid colors but also presets for changing and scrolling through automatically. You can change the speed that it rotates from pretty slow to a nice quick pace.I like the setting with the music where it changes based on what you’re listening to so depe ding on the songs speed it will sync to it.It also has a DMX port I guess it’s called. That’s above my pay grade. But I believe you can use that to sync a light show if you have the stuff to program one. All in all this is a very nice light for the price! With lots of fun features great for home use and professional use too!
