Works better than expected! Worth the inflated price.
I hate being shaken down. This is an item you buy because you really need it. It’s priced ridiculously high as a result. However, the device works better than any device I’ve tried. I own a MSI Prestige 15 laptop, which is very powerful and capable even today, but it got so HOT I was concerned it would bake itself, and I reduced CPU, GPU and other use, so I couldn’t tap its’ full capabilities. This device forces air thru the laptop faster than the laptop can take it. At full force, air starts coming out of holes in the laptop I didn’t even know existed, including between the keys. It keeps the ENTIRE laptop cool, not just the key spots like the built in fans do.I can do heavy work all day long with the cooler’s fan at 600, with acceptable noise level for office work. If I push the laptop extra hard, I’ve needed to crank the cooler ip to as much as 1400 at which point it’s pretty loud.Given how expensive the laptop was, and/or how much it would cost to replace, it’s worth the price for what should otherwise be a $25 item.

Excellent, with some caveats.
This cooling pad does indeed work as advertised. I’m seeing similar temperature reductions as those advertised in the listing and am thrilled with the performance. The chamber design is brilliant and does seem to work better for me than past cooling pads that I’ve owned that are just simple flat designs. Build quality is fine overall. The plastic does feel a little cheap, but it seems to be well constructed and I’m confident it will hold up to general wear and tear.I will say that the pad isn’t really a universal fit for all laptops. I’m using it with an Alienware m16 R1, and when placing it where it should be on the pad (i.e. the chassis aligned with the foam ring and the front clips raised in place) a good portion of the intake panel on the bottom of the machine is completely covered up by the foam. At best, this prevents the pad from doing its job and at worst can worsen your temps by reducing airflow. I’m not taking any stars off for this, as I realize that it’s impossible for the manufacturer to make a truly “one size fits all” product, but it’s something to keep in mind. I have my laptop sitting with the front of the chassis hanging an inch or so off the front of the cooling pad to prevent the intake issue, which makes the clips useless and also blocks the RPM display on the pad. This isn’t a huge deal, and the laptop still sits perfectly secure. I don’t have any issues with it slipping off the front, even with the cooling pad raised to its highest position. The foam ring does a good job at preventing any slipping. This could very well be a problem specific to this generation of Alienware machines given the design choice with the large rear I/O panel, I’m not sure, but again, it’s something to keep in mind.If you do decide to buy this pad (and I do recommend it despite this issue) just study the bottom of your laptop to make sure that no intake vents are blocked.

llano Gaming Laptop Cooler, Laptop Cooling Pad Stand unlighted
The cooler does what it’s supposed to and does a very good job of cooling the laptop. As many others have stated it’s very loud when in use at anything over 600 rpm. Rpm speed is adjustable from 300 to 2800 rpm. I think for a cooler with an aux USB ports the price is overpriced. It comes with 1 extra air filter and a very large mouse pad and a 1 year warranty. I would expect this to last much longer than a year and I could find no available options to buy replacement filters or the top sealing foam. Attempted contact to the seller through Amazon didn’t get any reply. You might get a better result through a customer support email so write it down before you throw the box it came in as it’s not shown on the single page documentation with directions. My computer sits pretty far forward over the front when sealing the cooling holes and I found it would have been better if the on/off had been lighted. Touching for 2 seconds turns the cooler on and off. This is a 120V powered cooler and isn’t one that you can power with a laptop USB port.My biggest concern is if the top foam seal gets torn with no option for replacement the unit could be next to useless unless you are handy enough to craft a replacement.

Loud but it works well
This thing works really well on my Alienware 17 inch laptop. It lowers the temperatures an average of 15°C, even more depending on how high you wanna run the fans. At about 1800 RPM the noise is pretty similar to what the laptop is already generating so I find that to be pretty comfortable experience. Now I will say that I’m not getting any higher FPS than before, but my one percent lows are improved and my games don’t stutter like they used to. This is 100% worth it to me, but your mileage may vary. This thing is big and bulky, roughly twice the size of my gaming laptop But it’s permanent spot is on a desk so I if you wanted something that you could travel with, this is going to be pretty cumbersome.

Lowers the heat by 15°
. Is really worth your money for a hundred bucks and if your laptop is your only means of computing, this is the way to go, especially if you use headphones. This thing pushes a lot of air. Makes up a bit of noise after 600 RPM, but it’s well worth it if you want to get the best performance out of it

Lowered temps by about 30-40°F
When I saw a YouTube short from Salem Techsperts praising this particular product’s ability to reduce laptop temps by 30+ degrees, I was skeptical. Having used it for a decent amount of time now, I’m a believer. It works great for temp reduction, taking my system from around 180-190°F to about 140. At lower speeds, the cooler is no louder than my onboard fans, and it still works very well. At the 1000 setting, it’s as loud as my onboard fans running full tilt. At the highest setting, it will definitely affect your ability to hear well via your laptop speakers, but a good headset fixes that. I was not expecting a YouTube advertised product to work as well as this did, but I am beyond impressed. If you are like me and mainly game from a gaming laptop, this product is a must-have. Even though it can be a bit loud on the higher settings, the benefit from even the lower settings is enough imo to offset that minor quibble.

Context (skip to measurements if TL;DR):——————–I have a “creator” laptop that I use for gaming and work (Gigabyte Aero 5 XE 4).The laptop has a 3070Ti that goes up to 115W, 64GB of DDR4 ram, an i7-12700H, two large NVME SSDs. I use most of the power most of the time (multi-screen to an OLED, gaming, network stuff, large data stuff, etc).I tried a cooling stand by another brand (starts with cooler and ends with master) which did nothing. Tried devices that suction heat out of the four different areas around the laptop. Monitored baseline and under load (playing Star Citizen, Horizon Forbidden West, running LLMs, etc) with HWinfo.Nothing tangible in both cases. My laptop’s fan had to pick up the slack, the rest didn’t change anything. This thing did. Big time.THE PACKAGE——————— Cooling stand with physical wheel to adjust speed, 7-segments screen to display RPMs, and one weirdly touch capacitive button to turn on/off.- Cooling stand has a foam area on which the laptop rests – in my case the 15 inch laptop rests well on it, but it can easily accomodate a 17-inch one. Not sure about smaller (13) though.- USB hub in the stand, and USB cable included (usb-c goes in the stand, usb-a to your hub or PC)- … a free XL mousepad with a space visual? Surprisingly it’s actually better than my large Legion pad, and I didn’t even know I was getting that stuff.- Replacement foam for the fan?- A notice that explains how everything worksMEASUREMENTS——————–BEFORE:<<<<>>>>Average temperature baseline:~45C CPU, ~40C GPUAverage temperature under load:~85C CPU, ~90C GPUThat’s between 20C and 40C of difference.Oh and.. did I mention that the stand was running at 300 to 600 RPM?Because at its max spec (2800 RPM) the thing is an absolute wind turbine, and there’s a point past which you get very little return on investment due to the way CPUs and GPUs get air cooled (liquid cooling isn’t relevant here obviously).CONCLUSIONS——————–0. GET THIS. I’m not paid to say this, it’s just my immediate satisfaction leading to this review.(oh and hey Ilano, feel free to send some free stuff my way if you’ve got any extra)1. IT IS CRAZY HOW WELL THIS WORKS. Seriously, I first tried a few options in the lower price range ($CAD 30-55) and nothing made a difference. Yes this isn’t cheap, but it actually works.2. 300-600 RPM on this larger fan means a steady hum that is fairly low-pitched and does everything I need. I can literally keep my laptop’s own fans at 0RPM if I wanted, but I set them at sub-hearing threshold (which is 25% PWM, around 1400RPM in this laptop). Before getting this stand, my laptop’s fan would regularly kill my ears with high pitched, high RPMs – not anymore.3. The tactile adjustment wheel at the front is MUCH better than any screen or buttons requiring long presses. It’s kinda weird that turning on/off the device is a capacitive switch – IMHO they would have been better off having only physical buttons.4. The USB hub is actually perfectly functional. I would still get the device if it had no hub, I’m just happy to get a couple extra ports (which themselves are plugged into another hub.. and yes it works for a keyboard, an e-drum kit, etc).5. I sometimes had a piece of cloth covering the keyboard and a plastic keyboard protector. With the wind coming from the stand, anything in that zone gets literally blown off even at the min setting of 300RPM.If you care more about covering your keys than lowering the temperature, then it’s worth keeping in mind. But frankly you’d be hard pressed to find a solution that works in that case.6. Around 100C generally a gaming laptop will throttle capabilities: less power to CPU or GPU, downclock everything, etc. In this case I can go to the max specs and be totally fine. The results with performance means I can actually get 110% out of my machine.7. The screen indicating speed does not turn off. It’d be great if it did, but I can live with that – worst case just put on some tape over it. The light isn’t distracting either, but it’s worth mentioning.

What i like about that product it’s really decrease the GPU and CPU temp with decent level so i can continue playing for long time without getting worry about temp

Before using this cooler, under heavy sustained loads my temps usually sat at around 90°C+ in the CPU, and around 82-86°C in the GPU. Once I started to use this cooler at only half speed, these temps dropped by around 15-20°C on both, especially so in the GPU. I have never once seen my GPU get near 80°C since I started using it!On the CPU side, it works great in most situations, but certain laptops such as mine still pull in a lot of power, so depending on exactly what you’re doing, results may vary. There is nothing any cooler on the planet can do for sudden power spikes under 100% capacity loads on 12700H laptops such as mine! In these cases, unless it is necessary, reduce the load on your laptop if you want to avoid this.As an example of how good this cooler is, Elden Ring on max settings in 4k is extremely CPU intensive, and would be stay at 99-100°C without the cooler, as my laptop would be pulling the absolute maximum power at all times. However with the cooler, it stays between 80-90°C. Games like COD won’t go above 65°C in game with the cooler, but when it’s pre-loading shaders, temps can still go up towards 95°C. Overall, I feel that half speed is the perfect mix between noise and cooling, as the only difference between max speed and half speed is only around 2-5°C in temp reduction, but the noise is much, much louder. The biggest issue for most will be the noise. At max speed, it is around 70db, almost like a hoover. At half speed, it still sounds like a PS4 that someone hasn’t cleaned since they bought it. Still, at half speed, this shouldn’t be an issue if you wear headphones like I do. Just be wary if you’re using it when someone is trying to sleep! All in all, this is a fantastic cooler that is currently the best on the market. It may seem quite expensive for a cooler at first glance, and can be loud depending on the fan speed, but it’s resounding results make it fully worth the cost in my opinion!

This is the best cooling pad I’ve ever used it made me gain 150 fps in several games and my computer was chill the whole time and they also gave me an extremely good mouse pad for FREE!!! It’s not even that loud to be honest.
