Perfect for short trip or as extra bag, good size for “personal item”
I’ve been using this type of backpack-suitcase for short weekend trips. It’s completely doable to roll up your clothes and fit them in the large compartment with toiletries and even shoes. I plan to do just that on an upcoming work trip (I don’t wear clothes that wrinkle easily!).I used this bag last week for a trip to California. My daughter and I went for a visit to Disneyland and her gymnastics meet. We packed most of our clothes and toiletries in a checked suitcase. In the backpack we put her gymnastics uniform (warmups and leotard compressed in a packing cube), grips in their bag, and used one of the bags that came with this backpack to pack her tape, ankle brace, and a few other small items.One of the backpack suitcases we have doesn’t have the straps in the main compartment, and that makes it tough to pack a lot in securely. This one does, and we clipped them over all the stuff and that worked really well.There was still space to roll up her pajamas and put her shoes (slides) in the main compartment. A 12″ tablet fit easily in the padded compartment and we put smaller items like charging block with cable and portable battery in the larger front pocket. In the smallest front pocket, we had lip balm, nail file, etc.Frontier Airlines made us put our bags in the sizers before boarding the plane. My daughter was paranoid this bag wouldn’t fit so she clipped the outside straps to help compress it. It fit easily into the sizer.The one thing I wish is that this had a chest strap. I’m a relatively small person and the straps sit quite wide on me. If I had a strap that held the other two together in front, it would be a bit more comfortable. I did walk all around wearing this and it was fine–the straps have enough padding so they don’t really dig in.Overall I absolutely recommend this backpack. It’s currently on sale for about $30 and that is a GREAT deal, especially with the extra bags.

Travel Backpack 40L Large TSA Personal Item Travel Bag Fits 17.3″ Laptop
This backpack-suitcase is great for short weekend trips. It is large enough to hold clothes for 3-4 days along with your laptop. It is comfortable to wear through the airport and fits under your seat if you dont overpack it. The cinching straps on the side definitely help to minimize this. My wife used this for a Frontier flight and initially overpacked it and the bag did NOT fit into the measuring sleeve. With some adjustments, and adding a few items to my bag, she was able to get it to slip into and out of the measuring box. The side handle is a bit bulkier, and the straps are also a bit bulky. So, if you are looking for a bag that you can stuff, and pass through the budget airlines, this is not the one. It is very easy to overpack it, and with a strict gate attendant, you may get dinged and end up paying the extra $$$. Other than that, it’s really a great weekend bag, the additional packing bags that these come with are great to have, but we often dont use them as they are thick and take up extra space. Another feature that makes this bag really a great travel addition is that the top zips fully open, making it easy to access everything in your pack.

Great overnight bag!
Honestly, I loved the look of this backpack, and my wife was in need of a new overnight bag. The bag is quite stylish and well-represented by the product photos.The backpack has plenty of room, and the handles on the top and side are great for carrying (in addition to the shoulder straps). I love the way that it opens completely like a more traditional suitcase, which makes it super easy for organized packing. There are plenty of pockets throughout, which make organizing even more efficient, and the included pouches are excellent for keeping everything together in its place. The addition of the waterproof pouch in the “lid” is wonderful for packing liquids or repacking items which may be damp (like a washcloth).My only area of concern is the longevity of the zipper pulls. While visually appealing, they do feel more cheaply made. But, apart from that, we have no complaints so far, and it’s been working great!

Great Travel Bag
When I saw this backpack was a laptop backpack I knew it would be perfect for all the stuff I have to carry back and forth to work each day. When it arrived I was shocked to find it was more like a carry on suitcase backpack. The first thing I did was make sure my 16” laptop fit in it and it did with plenty of room. I loaded the bag but with all my work stuff and I was shocked how much room I still had. I think this bag may become my travel backpack more than everyday workbag because it will fit everything I want in my personal item and more plus can serve as a professional looking backpack during a conference. I can’t wait to try it out for travel.

I adore this brand! I probably have 6 or 7 pieces of their stuff, including a rolling suitcase, a travel bag, a work bag (kind of like a briefcase) and even a diaper bag!This particular travel back pack is great because it unzips all of the way (and 2 clips allow it to fully open) making it useful as a travel/carry on/weekender bag.It includes three compression bags inside for packing. There is a strap on the back of the backpack that allows you to loop it over the handle of your rolling suitcase securely.I absolutely LOVE this bag and highly recommend not only the bag but the BRAND in general!
