Great Microphone at a great price– Really makes a difference in my work as a musician.
I am using this Microphone as I write this! I am preparing for my day of violin lessons. I had no trouble setting it up with my audio interface. The videos that were on Amazon were excellent! The problem I had was that I neglected to turn up the gain on the audio interface! Once I turned up the Gain Wow!I went on Zoom immediately with my husband, and finally he could here the true tone of my violin! Teaching online compromises my tone. Tone is key with violin. No matter how many notes you play you must have good tone. This Microphone begins a new era for my online teaching.Addendum: Lessons were great! I’m much more comfortable with my sound and the sound of my students. It was absolutely no problem to work with– it just worked!

    Excellent sound quality
Purchased this mic as a replacement for an older, less expensive one. I use this for voice over work and the sound quality is excellent. Easy setup, and compatible with both Apple and Microsoft devices. It uses a stand base that is quite stable, and doesn’t take up too much desk space. Having a built in headphones jack for live monitoring has been a game changer in my ability to set up quickly too.

I don’t like the plastic – it’s part cheap, part quality.
If this was all metal, I would love it. The plastic makes it of lesser quality. The filter does not line up properly with the microphone, it sits slightly askew on the front of the shockmount. And, the condenser mic doesn’t screw completely into the base of the shockmount so it is a little loose, causing the cord to make the mic turn at will if you don’t have the cord held down with a zip tie or something. The sound seems to be pretty good so far, but it sounds almost exactly like my dynamic mic.

Extremely sensitive!! You really need a good sound booth.
This mic is very well constructed and far, FAR more sensitive than my USB mics. The sound is clean and accurate to reality.Be advised, however, it is exceedingly sensitive and unforgiving of extraneous noise. Just testing it out, I was very lightly tapping the arm of my easy chair with the mic about four to five feet away from that. It sounded like a drum beat. This mic pics up everything!! You need a high-quality sound dampening booth to use it.

    Mic punches above its class.
I needed a microphone primarily for work but also for chatting with friends on Discord and found this. Personally, I have a more mid-sounding voice and wanted to be able to enhance the boomy lows while still keeping the sound crisp and clear and not muffled like how some dynamic mics do. For the price, this thing is amazing. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now and I love it. When using the proximity effect, my voice sounds very full while still being clear and the all-metal body gives me confidence that it will last. If you already have an XLR interface and are on a mid-range budget, I can’t recommend this enough. My only gripe is that I wish the metal windscreen was all black and didn’t have the orange M on the front, I just ended up painting it black so it’s not a huge deal at all.

    No sound–tried my best
This mic really intrigued me with the gold and the price tag, however, when connecting it to my Scarlett Solo interface and choosing it on Audacity on my computer, there is absolutely ZERO sound that comes out. If I don’t use the mic for a couple of months before opening, does it become inoperable? I can’t trust Maono products if this is the best they can do at such a price.

I’ve been doing a podcast the last few months and got a little too overly obsessed about audio quality. I’ve been trying multiple different kinds of condenser mics from the nt1 at the high price point all the way down to more budget voice over mics like the worker bee1 and 2 with lots of cool name brand mics in between. The reviews sold me on this and I’m glad they did. This Mic is perfect for a podcaster emphasizes the low end of The voice but doesn’t remove the character of the upper end like the Blue Ember does. The quality of the microphone is very smooth you don’t hear very much distortion and it makes your voice very pleasant to listen to.It also seems to do a much better job of rejecting gross mouth noises which condenser mics tend to love to pick up. Also good off axis rejection to eliminate your computer fan if you keep it behind.Don’t let mics that are ostensibly “cool” and popular fool you. This thing isn’t my fav in terms of style but in the end that doesn’t matter at all. What people hear is your voice.

This is my very first condenser mic. I wanted to try to see if a condenser mic makes a difference in sound recording with my current Sennheiser e935 mic which already sounds good but somehow I’m not fully satisfied. So, I gave the Maono condenser mic a try. To my big surprise, it sounds really good as for singing but also recording which is my main reason of purchasing. It outperforms big over the e935 in sounding. I’ve connected it using the same configuration using an Allen & Health Zedi10fx mixer connected to an external Lexicon MX400 sound processor end uses a Zoom H4n Pro multitrack for recording instead of built-in effect processor and usb recording. Wow, look no further, Maono condenser mic simply rocks. No wonder it receives top rated reviews and my own testing simply confirms its excellent sound quality.

This is a great mic. if you’re on a budget, this is the one to get. for whatever you do, really. I had to return it because it opened my eyes to getting a better mic that costs more than double. the Lewitt 440 Pure. I would have never considered the Lewitt if I didn’t get this mic, the Maono is just a cheaper version of that mic (albeit not as good, but still really good). I would not recommend the Lewitt if you’re starting out. but if you are starting out, or already have a dynamic mic. this a great mic to add to your arsenal.
