Works well on long-haired cat
When we adopted one of our cats, she had a bunch of matting. This worked well (in conjunction with a pet detangling spray) to help remove the matting. It cuts it out of the fur, as opposed to a normal pet brush that would try to comb through it. It is easy to grip and is a comfortable size to use. It is also easy to clean – you can just peel the fur off and give it a rinse or wash.

I have a straight haired shedding labradoodle. This is finally the solution. Cheaper than anything I’ve tried and more effective. I used it for 2 minutes and it looked like there was a small puppy made of fur on the ground. It was satisfying to use. Didn’t hurt him at all. He looks fresh from the groomers!

This thing is AMAZING!!! I haven’t brushed our long haired dog in a long time and oh my goodness!!! I did it twice today and this was the 2nd time. My dog feels so smooth and I’m loving the less hair coming off of her. Wish I knew about this sooner!

Works well
The size was good, it was not the easiest to clean and I wish it had a catcher because it is messy id do it outside and cover yourself with something. Overall it got lots of hair out but it took a while.

Oh my gosh – it really works well
I trusted what I read and bought this brush, with fairly low expectations that it would do what I read. I have a younger cat that ended up having 3-4 very heavy chunks of matted fur on her backsides. We tried the combs, and the scissors (very carefully) and could not get rid of them.Enter this maxpower grooming brush. The 12 teeth side was for grooming, the 6 teeth side was for dematting. We did the 12 teeth initially, and she seemed to like it. We switched to the 6 teeth and you can feel that it really does dig in and grab the matted fur. It does, kind of, brush through the area, but when you apply yourself it really digs in and tries to dislodge the knot. I did it gently initially, then just tried to get ‘into it’ and pull it out.As I did it, she definitely could fee something, but no whimper, no claws or swipes, just a look back at me with a ‘what are you doing back there’ kind of nod. Within maybe 8-10 drags of the brush the knot was gone, and I easily pulled it away from her. You can tell/feel it’s pulling on her, and she did vocalize a bit on the last few drags, but certainly nothing in pain, no meows.We decided one knot per session, so over the next few days, maybe week, we would attack the other knots. One or 2 were easy, one or 2 were really imbedded, but, the magic worked and they came out. I just finished the last one today, and she is knot free.Our girl I guess is a short haired cat, and this brush worked wonders. My wife and I are so glad we got it and can 100% recommend it.

Way better than expected
Decided to try this to supplement my brush on my Irish Wolfhound lab mix. It’s a game changer easier, more effective and my dog even seems to like it more than the brush. I would give it more stars if I could. Round one resulted in a massive ball of hair I can hardly wait to have another go at it tomorrow. Excellent brush for my 2 black labs- had to replace an older brush that I used for 3 years and thought it worked great. This is much better, I’m amazed at how much hair/ undercoat hair comes off! Easy to use, dogs love it and they look great! 100% recommend!

The best grooming comb yet, I have a Shiapso with really thick matting double coat and it’s the only one that is effective and does the job in half the time with a less anxious pooch. Sometimes still have to use with a de matting spray but that’s cause my wee man loves the muck.
