Velcro closure, and perfect fit for the Coolpix B500. PERFECT fit
My fiance loves this. I got her the blue one to offset the color of the maroon Coolpix she got. The case is a very snug fit which is great. No movement within while it’s cased. Coolpix decided to not include any kind of hard cover for the OUTWARD facing screen which makes the screen an instant weak-spot of the camera. This case protects the screen perfectly but it is a soft neoprene so keep in mind that an impact will likely still shatter the screen regardless of the case being in the way. The case will, however, protect the camera from scratches when in a bag with other things, or from mild bumps while wearing the camera around your neck. I cut an old phone invisi-screen protector to put on the LCD to provide a little more protection but very happy with the case purchase. The only way this case could be any better is if they added a hard plate along the top of the case where it goes over the camera LCD screen so it would provide some added hard-protection from an impact. Cost would go up for us if that was done too, but it would be a nice option. I think being realistic though, a camera is an insanely fragile device and even dropping a camera inside a steel box could still cause the tiny camera sensors and lenses to move, even slightly, such that the function of the camera could be heavily compromised.Hats off for an affordable and WELL fitted product for our cameras MegaGear. This is the peace of mind we needed. Thank you!

Full coverage
This is a wonderful case for minimum protection and keeping the dust off. That said I wouldn’t buy this as protection against dropping you camera. It might protect against minor bumps but nothing major. Fits my camera perfectly.

this is exactly what i was wanting . It fits like a glove the only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is because if something were to hit the neoprene where the screen is it could puncture it but i am putting mine inside another case for major travel and but for general protection its great and lightweight & well made with a velcro close. I ordered the ” hot Pink” its more purple than pink but thats great since i have the purple version of the Nikon. overall i do recommend and would buy again.

Goldilocks fit for my Nikon Coolpix B500
Not too tight or too loose, perfectly fit for my little Nikon Coolpix B500. Well made and easy to get my camera in and out with the strap attached. There are slits for the strap to be outside of the soft case, yet still attached to the camera and usable. Secure velcro type closure and a nifty small carabiner attached. I feel my camera will be protected from minor bumps and scratches.

Nice soft case for my Nikon B500
This is a little better than what I expected. Case appears to be made of double-layered nylon with some light foam padding sandwiched between the exterior material. The closure is about a 1×3 inch hook-and-loop closure that works very well. It fits the camera very nicely and the strap can be left outside the case for carry. The case should provide very good protection for the little bumps and grinds of occasional carry.The carabiner is a lightweight unit with a little note attached stating it is for use to hold the case when you have the camera removed from the case. It does not appear sturdy enough to hold the weight of the camera – a minor detail.I’m happy with this purchase.
