Perfect dock to work with my MS Surface Pro 11.
The only objection I had to it was it only had one USB3 port all the others were USBC.. But i can always use an adapter.

Convenient for my Surface Pro 7
It’s nice to just plug one plug in for both dock connectivity and power for my Surface Pro 7 when I get to the home office after using it as a laptop or tablet, and keep my power adapter in my backpack. I got the full resolution of the HDMI connection to my monitor, and full upload and download of my Google fiber internet at 1GPS.

Works if you dont have a KVM switch
I was looking for a docking station for my Microsoft Surface Pro 2024. I have a KVM TESmart 4 PC to 1 monitor, and the HDMI from this docking station did not work. The screen kept flashing. I played with various settings and had no luck. This docking station would work if I bypassed my KVM switch (for video). The mouse and keyboard worked with no issues. I have an ANKER Thunderbolt docking station, which worked fine with my Microsoft Surface Pro. This unit is built solid. When you search Amazon, this was one of the few that specifically said 1000 ethernet plug; other models all said 10/100; that was why I purchased this one.

Perfect solution for full functioning desktop
Received for a Christmas gift. I had previously purchased the cheap plastic ($35) expander that piggy backs directly onto my Surface GO2 directly. This was a touchy component and external monitor constantly disconnected for no apparent reason, or if you touched the computer. Then as it got older, when I got it to work, my headphone/audio out lost one side of sound. Also, since that draws power from the Surface unit itself, it was unable to provide power to other devices (CDR, DVR, etc) leading to a mess of cables and charging blocks. This unit is perfect, has substantial feel/weight and works flawlessly with PNP, exclusively for the Surface tablet/laptops. If you have a Surface device, you need to spend the extra money and buy this item! Will keep the old crappy plastic device for travel as the weight of this one is a bit much to take on extended trips. You can connect 2 HDMI monitors, 1 VGA monitor, 2 USB-A devices, 2 USB-C devices, 1 Audio in/out (micro), and CAT 5, MicroSD cards (old and new size). Powers my external DVD/CD burner also. No issues whatsoever.

I hate having to mess around at the back of my PC searching for some more USB ports, this hub is ideal. It turns oneUSB port into 4. Its a nice little compact hub that looks the part and looks to be well made. This hub is designed to be fitted under or on a desk. I have mine just floating about at the moment until I decide what I want to do with it. The only flaw is that the main cable comes out of the side instead of the back, which makes is look a but out of place if you decide to have it fitted.

Having recently built a new computer and found that the USB ports on the front of my new case are all located on the top, making them a bit inconvenient to use when the case is placed on the top of a desk, I thought I’d pick up a new hub so that I could bring some ports to an easier to access location when sitting at my desk. This little hub from MTAKYA has a nice simple and compact design, measuring approximately 116mm wide x 35mm deep and 12mm high. The front edge contains 4 x USB Super Speed 3.0 ports allowing for up to 5Gbps data transmission whilst the rear edge has a shiny panel.Exiting the hub on the right hand side is a 1M long USB cable to connect it to your computer.A really nice and useful (but simple) feature this particular hub has is the inclusion of 4 mounting holes. This means you can fix it down to your desk to keep it in the same place and prevent it moving around.***** In The Box *****1 x HC434 Hub4 x Mounting Screws1 x Adhesive hook and loop strip***** Conclusion *****I have to say I really like this little hub from MTAKYA.One of my annoyances with hubs is that they usually skate around the desk when you are trying to connect or disconnect devices, but this one can be fixed in place with screws. I also like that they have thoughtfully included a hook and loop adhesive strip so you can fix it in place, but still have the option to quickly remove it.I also love that you get a good length of cable, as opposed to the rather useless 30cm or so that you usually get, as this allows for much better placement on the desk.I have had no issues connecting memory sticks, portable HDD’s and game controllers and not needing a mains adapter is a nice bonus (it does of course mean that you may run into issues if you want to power 4 x USB powered portable HDD’s at the same time, for example), but generally shouldn’t be an issue.I would have preferred if each port was switched, but again not a deal breaker. At £9.99, I think this is a decent product and would happily recommend it.

What’s not to like with this dock, multiple USB-A ports, multiple USB-C ports, an ethernet port for hardwiring to the internet, both HDMI and VGA ports for connecting to multiple monitors and SD card ports. I can’t think of anything else I’d actually need so 5 stars from me. Oh, and having used all the connections, I’ve not experienced any lag/delays in loading anything backwards or forwards.

This form factor of hub is very useful for under-desk installations. I’ve put a few different brands/styles under my home cinema TV stand, study desk and bedside table.Unlike the ones I’ve used before, this is very plasticky and light. There’s no obvious flex or issues with the case moulding; but it doesn’t feel like a quality product. Aluminium-bodied hubs of the same specification are available for the same money; just without the screw holes for mounting. The openings in the front of the case for the ports are not quite perfectly aligned on mine. They do go in okay, but you can see the attention to detail isn’t there. On that note, since this is designed to be fit under a desk, you’d expect the (permanently attached) cable to come out of the back; so it is not visible or in the way when mounted as such. But no, it comes out of the side.Additionally, for some reason the recesses for the screw head are on the back; the surface that will be touching the underside of the desk you’re attaching it to. Not only is this the opposite of how you’d expect it to be, but it actively weakens the fixture, since tightening up the screw now has a chance of pushing through into this cavity. It seems the unusually wide-headed screws they’ve provided are an attempt to prevent this.It just baffles me that a product like this could be created (including the design of the injection moulds) and no-one realised this was a bad idea. If they’d just had flat plastic flanges with holes, it would have been a superior design to this. The relatively short ~95cm permanently-attached cable is also restrictively short for most under-desk installations. Looking at the ‘suggested installations’ product image, they have the under-desk hub cable coming out of the front and over the desk (!?), running back to the computer. Obviously this is not how any rational person would install it.Still, it functions as advertised and isn’t an expensive product, so I can’t mark it down too much; but I’d suggest you look elsewhere if you actually want to desk-mount a hub.

I do need a lot more USB A ports than my laptop provides. I do have one adapter that is four gang and so, because you have to use one of the ports on the PC, provides an additional three ports. I need more! This unit, being a four outlet unit should provide me with an additional three ports which will be enough for my present needs. The problem is that I have reviewed a lot of similar products lately and only the one that I am currently using, and have permanently plugged into my laptop, functions like it should. Every one of the others either fails to recognise all the drives that I attach or causes my PC to throw a wobbly and go into automatic repair mode when I try to start it after it has been shut down. I live in hope that this unit will deliver the goods but, because of the number of failures that I have had, I am doubtful that it will. It does however state that it works with hard drives, which is my intended usage and so I have to retain a bit of optimism. The unit comes equipped with a metre long USB cable. The cable is OK but has a bog standard PVC type sleeve. The collars at junction of cable to connector are OK, having some flexibility but for me could be a bit longer and a little more flexible to allow for better protection of the cable at this most vulnerable position. In fact I would actually prefer no cable at all so that I could attach my cable of choice in both quality and length. Because this cable is fixed, if it fails, and cables can and do, then the whole unit is lost.I also prefer my computer peripherals to be constructed out of aluminium. It is lightweight but durable and when finished with a good eggshell lacquer looks very smart. This unit is plastic but doesn’t feel cheap. I do like the provision of four fixing holes and screws. I shall be screwing it in place.Despite my reservations about the construction of this unit the acid test of it’s worth to me would be in how it handled feeding my four drives into my laptop. It did that without issue and so I am very pleased with it and would say that at £9.99 it is a good buy.
