These are great for your dogs teeth, and definitely one of the cheapest good brands on the market. I’ve been reading the reviews and I’m just shaking my head at some people. If your dog is going to gobble them up in three bites…don’t feed them! They are definitely an obstruction risk if you don’t make sure your dog actually chews the chew. If you “can’t ensure they’ll chew it,” try holding it while your dog eats it and it’ll make them eat slower. If that’s too inconvenient, go a water additive route instead. For dogs that chew them, they really help. I’ve only been giving my dogs these chews for about two months and for both dogs, their carnassial teeth have actually gotten a lot whiter, which is better than I expected because I was just hoping to prevent more tartar buildup back there! I get the mini size for my terrier and the medium for my cattle dog, both love them. Another note, if your dog is “itchy” after eating these, talk to your vet about food allergies because that’s the most likely culprit, not that this treat magically makes pets itchy. And the cellulose and starch ingredients are literally the ingredients cleaning your dogs’ teeth so people complaining about it and saying maybe it’s wood shavings really haven’t done their research on canine dental care.

I’ve been giving my two large dogs various dental treats for nearly two years now, and exclusively these milk bone fresh breath treats for the past 7 months or so because I’ve had such good results. I give each dog one first thing in the morning and they are so excited to eat it that they’ve started to wake me up (a downside). My dogs were older rescues that had some significant plaque built up, and I’ve noticed since switching to/sticking with Milk-bone it’s essentially gone from both of their mouths. They’re big dogs at about 70 lbs each and we live in the hot Texas weather, and even when they’re panting in my face after a walk their breath will have no scent to it, which it definitely was foul before. Cannot recommend them enough & will continue to purchase!

My dog enjoys these he goes every morning where they are kept to get one I do notice his teeth look better and breath is better when eating these. They are a must have in our doggy world

For what is worth money wise it has kept his breath and teeth clean while keeping him happy for the treats. That said do clean their teeth with the toothpaste and brush as usual; better safe than sorry!

I usually take reviews with a grain of salt because people are so very different. What some people love others will hate, so it’s hard to determine what I will actually like based on someone else’s experience. Fortunately dogs aren’t as fickle as humans. We have two dogs, a whippet hybrid weird thing and Pittbull (greatest dogs ever, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If they try, ask them how many pittbulls they’ve actually known personally)
Anyway, they both absolutely love these treats, and I do mean they love them. They lose their minds when I get home from work, for the treats, not me. They get more excited for these treats than anything else I’ve ever seen. The best part is that they (the treats) really really really work. It’s not an immediate improvement so don’t get discouraged. It took about a week or so of having one treat per day before their collective dog breath went away. I get the large ones and break one in half for Creepy (the weird whippet thing) and give a whole one to the pittbull.
I’m sure there are reviews saying they don’t work, and maybe sometimes they don’t, but I’d bet that a lot of those failures are due to lack of giving it sufficient time.
I’m no expert, but it seems like they work by helping the actual cause of the bad breath instead of simply covering it up with a fresh scent. In fact, these things don’t even smell particularly good, so they definitely aren’t simply masking bad breath.
Anyway, they work. Try them and see for yourself. What do you have to lose anyway, a few bucks?

My dogs love these! I have tried several different dental treats on my dogs and they tend to like them, but these have gotten the most intense reaction from them! They love these! They want them as soon as I open the packet they come running and slobbering. Their breath also hasn’t been too bad. I know that isn’t always just a result of dental treats. With their good reactions and mine, I would suggest that these treats are good for them and for any other dogs!
