Plus, a little bit of kwik stop powder goes a long way, and it even contains a mild pain reducer, which gives you peace of mind that your dog’s toe won’t be causing them any discomfort.A helpful tip I can share is to place a small amount of kwik stop powder in the lid. Then, take a cotton swab (the kind used for cleaning ears, not a cotton ball) and dampen it with cold water. Roll the cotton swab in the powder. This product really stops bleeding when I cut the dog’s toe nails too short!Just be sure to only use it on an animal and not a human. I made that mistake when I cut my hand with a knife and had to stop the bleeding so I could get to my doctor’s office. He had a heck of a time removing the product from my wound!
