Excellent Everyday Carry.
If you like Gadgets, you should get this one. I have had mine for more than a month, and it is perfect.Specifically, I really like the look and feel of equipment that serves a specific purpose and is practical. Before buying, I read through the entire product description and through many of the reviews. I always try to read through the 1-Star and 2-Star reviews first, to get an idea of what went wrong for others who made this purchase. Here is what I have come to learn about the Mountain Voyage Minimalist Wallet:This wallet is very durable and very handy. I would have to agree with the product description; Contemporary style with Elegant look and feel, Ultra-Slim & Light weight, Efficient, and Ideal for Everyday use. The money clip feature easily slides out (if you decide you donât want to use it).I really like this new wallet. So⦠I bought one for my wife. She loves the simplicity of it and the fact that everything is handy. Much less compartmentalized than her previous wallet and less bulky, too. I also bought one for my son. And while he is still too young to be concerned about the âEveryday Carryâ he absolutely loves the look and feel of his new wallet. These wallets are wonderful!âHolds up to 15 Cardsâ.Okay⦠although this statement makes for great advertising, it is just a bad idea. Sure, I can stuff 15 cards in this device, but⦠âWhy would I do that?â Iâm trying to minimize my Everyday Carry (not just my wallet). For years, I have been carrying around a Big-Beefy-Burger-Style Leather Wallet just like my Dad.âWhatâs in my Wallet?â:1 Government-Issued Driverâs License, 1 Bank Debit Card, 1 Discover Card, 1 MasterCard, 2 VISA Cards, 1 Wholesale Club Membership Card, 1 Wholesale Club Credit Card, 1 Health Insurance Card, 1 Health Insurance Credit Card, 1 Library Card, 1 Movie Theater Club Card, and 2 or 3 or 4 of those flimsy In-Store-Credit⦠cards.Okay, so thatâs already about 15 cards. And this doesnât even account for the paper money or all the little extras like pictures or lottery tickets. I was carrying around a lot of stuff. And to be honest, it was a lot of stuff that I rarely ever use. However, I gave it a try. I stuffed this new wallet with all 15 cards⦠and then tried to pry out⦠just one card⦠from the middle. Nope, that did not work so well. Fortunately, I was at home, so all 15 cards just fell onto my table.I had to take a moment to seriously consider, âhow many cards do I really need?âI removed everything from my wallet. I set it all out on my table and asked, âwhat do I really need to carry in my pocket (on a daily basis)?â I quickly separated what I need from what I donât⦠and then continued to minimize from there. The Answer: I only really need about 3 cards and some cash (not a lot):My Driverâs License, My Debit Card, One Credit Card, and a few bills (for just-in-case).As I reloaded my new wallet with these few cards, and folded a couple of $20s into my money clip, I remembered that the whole point of the Everyday Carry concept is to minimize the amount of stuff Iâm carrying around every day. And this wallet is a perfect solution. I have less to carry. And I havenât missed any of the extra stuff I use to carry around with me.I highly recommend this wallet for anyone who is interested in carrying around less and being just as effective.I donât necessarily recommend this wallet as a gift. This is simply because a wallet can be a deeply personal item. It is something that someone carries with them (almost) daily (sometimes for years). Make sure you âknow your audienceâ before you buy something like this.I would also point out that, âyesâ, the straps are designed to hold cards tightly into place. This is by design. And because of this design, it should also be understood that getting cards out will require a measure of dexterity.I donât have a review or recommendation for the wooden wallet or leather wallet options.I hope this review helps you.And I hope you have a Wonderful Day!

Great Minimalist wallet, Useful Add-ons Available
I was looking to move from a traditional wallet to a minimalist wallet, but wasn’t sure that I would like it. This seemed to fit the bill and price point to where if I didn’t like it, it wasn’t a huge investment. First of all, the availability of colors is amazing, I went with the dark wood and it looks and feels great. So far after a few months it’s holding up great. It’s not large in your front pocket at all either. What’s great about Mountain Voyage is that it’s a large enough company that there are some accessories that you can get for it. I got an AirTag holder for it, which adds virtually no bulk to the wallet, but now has an air tag in the event that it is lost. I also like that you can order replacement parts if something breaks or wears out. I’m a huge fan overall!

Good wallet for the right person or use case.
I wanted to try one of these minimalist hard-sided wallets for a while, and this one came with an option of a strap instead of a money clip, which is what I went for. It’s different and takes some getting used to, but it won’t be my daily wallet. It really doesn’t hold more than 2 or 3 cards, plus your license and maybe one other piece of documentation like a car registration. As far as bills, 10 is about the max.The good points:It is very small and thin in your pocket. Can be carried in your front or back pocket. The few cards you carry are RFID-reader protected. The bad points:You are very limited in what you can carry.Any time you need to take any card out, you have to push them all out and find the one you want.Bills need to be folded in thirds to fit the shape of the wallet.Bottom Line:Great for times you don’t need or want to be carrying all your cards or cash, like a night out on the town or day trips while traveling. I can also see this being a daily wallet for those who don’t need to own or carry too many cards or cash. If you have one credit card and live someplace you don’t need to drive, this may be for you. Well-made and good value for the money.

Perfect substitute to the Ridge wallet
Looking for a Ridge wallet but donât want to spend $190 on a credit card sized piece of metal?! This is the wallet for you! Unbeknownst to me my mother got my father a Ridge wallet for Christmas and I got my son the Mountain Voyage wallet. So I was able to side by side review these and without the logos you would never be able to discern which is which.Quality, size, functionality, rivets, everything is exactly the same. Both are great wallets but the Mountain Voyage wallet is such a better buy for the money and quality! I wish more people knew. Itâs thin, great quality, the pocket for the cards is lined with protective material. Awesome!

The Mountain Voyage Co Minimalist Cash Strap and Money Clip Wallet is a high-quality, sleek, and functional wallet. It holds cards and cash securely, and the slim design makes it perfect for those who prefer minimalism. The build is sturdy, and I love how easy it is to access everything I need. However, the color of the wallet I received didnât quite match the images onlineâit was a bit different in tone than expected. While the wallet still looks great, the color mismatch was a bit disappointing. I ordered the Walnut and what I received was lighter.Overall, itâs a fantastic product, and I would still recommend it for anyone looking for a minimalist, durable wallet. Just be aware the color may not be exactly as shown.

This wallet is exactly the same as The Ridge at less than half the price. The construction is sturdy, the band seems to be of decent quality and keeps everything nice and tight. The only drawback? The sandwich construction has aluminum plates with plastic covers. The Ridge has full metal plates. While not a dealbreaker the manufacturer does not specify this so I canât help but feel misled.I will not return it and 10/10 times will buy this over The Ridge which, I think, is overpriced.

This product is difficult to use. Pulling out a single card requires removing all cards, which is impractical and can lead to lost cards.
