Got this for my dog when he had a hematoma and he was determined to get it off and would shake his head relentlessly. It stayed on! It is also very soft and warm for cold walks.

I tried this on my 55-lb Old English Sheepdog and it was really tight. It might have been ok but she wanted nothing to do with it. Instead of calming her it made her crazy, leaping around and trying to shake it off her big head. But just because it doesn’t calm my dog doesn’t mean it won’t calm yours. It is very soft and well made. The adjustable drawstrings are great for a customized fit. I took off one star because even the Large size was probably too small for my Sheepie.

My dog got a hematoma and would try and go back home because the cold air would bother him. So eventually i bought this and it helped. Almost kinda of small for my dogs head despite being large. My dog has a big human sized head lol. The material is soft and warm and has a nice pull string incase you want to tighten it. I feel like it was worth the price personally. Lets my dog enjoy his walk and keeps his ear from flapping around in the cold weather

I was really hoping this would work, as our little dog gets so scared by fireworks (in Hawaii during New Year’s, it’s like a war zone) that she shakes. People were setting some off last week, so I put this on her. It looked pretty tight, but somehow she got it off anyway. I’ll try it again next time, but so far it just seems to irritate her.

Calming Cap Brings Comfort & Peace to My Pibble
My dog may look tough, but he’s a big softie. He’s a sensitive guy and gets nervous over the smallest things. He’ll shake and cling to me for comfort when he hears fireworks, thunder, the sound of the shower running, or during a power outage. He even gets anxious when our cats zoom around the house! Given his sensitivity, he loves wearing cozy sweatshirts, which help keep him calm. He’s also quite reactive to noises. As a result, he barks a lot. I used to rub his ears to help muffle the sounds of people approaching our door, but I can’t always be there to do that.After some research, I decided to try a calming cap/ear cover, hoping it would give him the same comfort his sweatshirts do. He has a large head, so I ordered the large size. As soon as I put it on, I could tell he felt more secure. Now he’ll wag his tail and approach me to help put it on.I do wish there was an extra-large size option. The large size is a bit too snug for his giant head. I’m hoping it will stretch a bit with more use. Otherwise, I recommend this product if you have a sensitive dog like mine. It might look a little silly, but I think it makes him even cuter. Most importantly, it brings him some much-needed peace.
