One Happy Retiree –
Edge distortion a small problem, otherwise very useful.
The lens is a simple concave-convex piece of glass, which is threaded to fit standard 67 mm lens. It works quite well and fits the P900 perfectly. The sharpness falls off a bit around the edges, but overall it is a pleasant addition that allows remarkable close-ups. Try varying both the extent of telephoto extension and distance to object to see what gives the results you will like.

A good macro lens for a value price
A good macro lens for a good price – very good value. This lens allows macro pictures to be taken on the Coolpix P900 without using the camera’s macro setting. The macro setting requires very closeup pictures that may restrict the amount of side/back lighting making for dark or slow shutter speed pictures. This lens allows those same pictures to be taken from a bit further away, allowing plenty of side/back light. (I tested that with both macro setting and macro lens after reading a review and it is true.) Of course, it is a lens, so the best images are in the center with minor distortions moving away from the center and high distortions at the far edges. (Center your picture and use an editing program to crop as needed.)

Not bad
It works well for super close up macro photos..but you can use it for anything other than that. I guess that my fault for now understanding. Good quality for what it is. Real nikon brand too.

Still learning on use
It takes a bit of a learning curve to use but I am getting the hang of. I’m either way too close or too far away…I’m learning! I did get some really nice pictures of some flowers closeup.

Pretty Pointless
I get much better macro shots standing further away and then focusing using the “bird” (icon) feature. The next upgrade after a N-P950 is a HUGE upgrade to a mirrorless, high resolution camera with separate lenses. I was hoping to delay a bit with a few accessories for the camera I have. This isn’t it.

Quality product, but….
Product delivered in good time. The Nikon P900 can cope adequately without the lense. Quality product but less functional as an addon to P900.

Great Macro and Crystal Clear
Exactly what I needed. Fit fits perfect and performing very well. This lense has exceeded my expectation and is a welcome addition to my arsenal.

BIG GLASS
Is exactly what I needed for my P900 Macro work. This diopter will add more weight to the lens, you might want to consider using a Nikon Collar Mount when using a tripod to take the stress off the camera’s screw mount position. Yes I would recommend this diopter to anyone.
