Best product of its type I’ve used; great alternative to Sumotech
As a man with fairly thick, wavy hair cut to around 1-2 inches on top, my hair product of choice has usually been some kind of flexible paste/wax with a matte-to-natural shine. I had previously been a user of Sumotech when my stylist recommended this product. This is probably the most similar product I’ve found to Sumotech, with the added benefits of slightly more flexibility and shine. It gives my hair some lift and volume without weighing it down or looking slick. The hold isn’t quite as strong as Sumotech’s is, so I wouldn’t use this for overly radical or spiky hairstyles, but if you’re looking for a fairly natural, textured hold, this is a great alternative. The biggest downside, of course, is the price, but this is priced competitively to alternatives such as Sumotech or Aveda Molding Clay. I found one jar lasted about 4 months, so overall the price isn’t quite as bad as it first seems. As a final note, I should mention that the scent is fantastic. It’s a very light, clean, neutral scent that isn’t at all overpowering.

Great for slick back pony
This is great for sleek buns. It is easy to apply , it smells great and it is not stiff. It also allows me to use multiple days without washing my hair, so it extends my wash. My hair is frizzy it won’t make it helmet shiny or stiff but does a great job holding up.

Husband’s Most Loyal Product
All Oribe products are high quality. Fiber Groom is no exception. My husband is not one to spend a lot or be very particular about grooming products, but this is something he always has on hand. I use it on my long hair sometimes for fly-aways or to keep up-dos in place around my hair line. Plus, it’s Oribe, you know it smells incredibly good!

Really like it but too expensive
Really like it but too expensive. I’d rate this a strong but not extra strong hold

Space-aged hair stuff!
I’m an Oribe junkie (fangirl? obsessee?), and recently chopped my hair off (from waist-length to chin-length).All of a sudden my Hair Product Requirements completely changed. Rather than aiming for sleek, I want volume. Rather than just shiny, I want texture and lift and…”oomph.”This Fiber Groom stuff is seriously space-aged hair goop. You dip into the tub with your finger, and there really are “fibers” (strings!) that sort of stretch across your fingers.I use as instructed — emulsify it between my palms quite a bit, then work it through my hair (focusing mostly on the ends, in my case). It’s a nice, waxy product that gives some separation, a bit of hold, some dimension, some texture, some shine — and a little tiny bit goes a long way.I was surprised by how small the tub is, but when I realized a dime-sized amount takes care of my whole head, it’ll last a while.I wish the scent was the usual Oribe-strong (like the texturizing spray), but it still smells nice.Overall — it does what it says it will do, and it’s fun (like a science project!) when you dig it out of the container.(also — I purchased this from seller BlueMercury and, with expedited shipping, it arrived in ONE day — faster than promised. Three cheers there).

Great! Feels very light and looks dry with good control.
My hair is thinning but I don’t want to admit it. My hairdresser used this on me a few months ago and it’s now my staple product. It is very light, and a little goes a long way. It has very good hold, and dries quickly when applied to dry hair. It’s very easy to style and hair is “manageable” all day. Hair looks as if it is naturally thick and healthy.I like that it doesn’t look as if you’ve used product at all. I am now growing my hair again for the first time in about ten years thanks to being able to style it exactly how I want to with this product!

Didn’t Work!
Didn’t Work! Purchased with the intention of using this product to further smooth hair and keep hair sleek and in place after straightening, and prior to applying hairspray. It had the opposite effect – my hair was a big frizzy mess 30 minutes into the morning. So disappointing!

Love the smell and makes hair soft. Rinses out easily so you can restyle daily.Holds hair nicely for a natural look. However, it doesn’t have as much fiber pull as D:FI D:Struct. So if you have short hair that you want to make a Mohawk or pompadour, this won’t work.

Recommended to me by a hairdressing friend from Sweden and I’m very impressed. 4 out of 5 because of the price but you get what you pay for I suppose.

My husband and I both tried this to really see if it would work. He has course, red head hair, while I have fine/thin hair. We tested it on dry, and slightly still damp hair. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised that we both agreed… this is a good product for both of us, and that doesn’t happen often, especially for my hair. Most hair products for me are too thick, leave my hair feeling super greasy, or like it is going to snap off. Happily this one didn’t do either of those things. I has a very nice hold, but it is a bouncy/moveable hold. You looked polished, and put together, without looking like you dipped your head in glue. Is it pricey, absolutely, this entire brand line is. It definitely works on either dry or slightly damp hair, I prefer slightly damp as I feel it smooths through better. But is it worth it… personally we will not use this every day, and only for when we need it, so occasions and when we need to, so for us yes. For every day use… maybe not for the price, there are other products out there that I would rather use daily that aren’t as pricey, even if they don’t work as spot on (this is purely personal preference, budget friendly thinking on my part $$$)
