Our story
How we got our start THE CLEAR CONSCIENCE was born the morning after a big party. Cleaning up made us realize that we cannot continue to ruin our planet with plastic plates. We needed an alternative and found palm leaf plates in India. Indians already use them for centuries and we decided to bring them into today’s life What makes our product unique Our plates and bowls are actually produced from fallen leaves of the areca palm tree. This means, we not only reduce plastic, we also turn a waste product from India into a high value tableware. If this isn’t up-cycling?! In addition, our product is mostly made by women. Why we love what we do We never thought of starting a business. And now, we are entrepreneurs. It is nice to know that by starting this business we are helping to develop better living conditions in India. We are proud that with our work we help make the word a better place.

Loved this product!
We had a party for Labor Day and I used this product and the 10 inch deep plates. They were a huge hit. We had some hot food and cold food and they held up really well with all the items. There was no seeping of liquid through them and many people got seconds on food with them as well. They are also so beautiful to display before the party. I got ooo’s and ahhh’s from my guests. And of course, people are really impressed with the way they are made and how the website mentions how the workers who make them are given a fair wage and also how they are made from sustainable, compostable products– no plastics. Totally worth the price. All my guests are asking for them.

Sturdy
These were a little on the expensive side but were literally the best bowls I have ever seen or used. I kept getting compliments at my party for these. I had a tropical party and they went really well. It’s also great that they are compostable, and eco-friendly. They are super sturdy to you could probably put the soup in here or cake and ice cream which is what I did.

Great for outdoor wedding!
I used these for my outdoor wedding and they worked really well! Happy to have something disposable other than plastic. They went well with the look of the wedding too.

Great for Bunnies!
My bunny LOVES these palm leaf bowls! A great nibble toy for any rabbit. They are pure palm leaf, not treated with chemicals, so I know they are safe and healthy. Sometimes I put his salad inside or just give him a bowl by itself. He loves tossing them around, pawing at it when it flips over, and of course munching on the edges!Highly recommend for any house bunny looking for an extra treat and hours of entertainment.

Better than paper or plastic.
Used these for dessert at an outdoor party. Definitely sturdier and more stylish than paper and so much better than using plastic. Would be compostable w curbside compost systems or a farm compost pile.
