Awesome toy, but use caution for destructive chewers
My three cats love things they can do together, and this was an instant favorite. My two active ones enjoy trying to catch the unpredictable “prey”, and my big lazy guy likes to watch the movement. They like it so much that they learned how to turn it on (it’s not easy for them because the power button has good resistance, but they care enough to work at it). I was worried they’d run the batteries out, but it’s been a month and the originals are still going strong. The auto shutoff conserves power. The body of the toy is sturdily made and a good weight. With the rubber feet, it doesn’t slide all over. It’s certainly not silent, but it’s not any louder than my PC fans. The noise itself is just a robotic whirring.The only drawback I’ve found is that a quick cat CAN catch the feather if they try, and if you have a rough player or a chewer, they may break/eat it. That said, one of mine IS a destructive chewer and hasn’t destroyed it yet. The most he’s done is pull a few bits off. I think it’s because as soon as he lets go to chew on it, the “prey” pops back inside. You know your cat best though, and if you’re worried maybe give this one a pass. Apart from that, I definitely recommend this toy. I’m really happy with the value, and the fact that you can buy replacement feather ends doesn’t hurt.

Best cat toy ever
This toy is perfect. This toy is the reason I can work from home. It was my cat’s favorite toy as a kitten, it is my cat’s favorite toy as a grumpy young-ish lady. Granted, I am not the most noise-sensitive person out there but I don’t think this toy is nearly noisy enough to either (1) scare a standard scaredy-cat or (2) disrupt whatever it is you are doing. 10/10 recommend

Noisier than expected
This is plastic and battery operated. It came with batteries. You push the button on the top and the light flashes and the feathery thing moves in and out the holes in a random pattern. Easy enough. It stops automatically like maybe after 10 minutes? It does make a machine like sound of gears moving so while that does put off one of my cats, the younger kitten couldn’t care less. She loves it but she is the hunter. It also came with an extra feathery bit for when this one wears out or is pulled off. It seems pretty durable and it does not move around on the floor very easily, so it stays put. I wish both cats enjoyed playing with it but the kitten was really the one I needed to wear out most so since she loves it, I’m fine with it, too. I really don’t get why the flashing light though, but I’m sure there is some kind of reason.Since at least 1 cat loves this, I can recommend it. An older cat may be more hesitant due to the noise. Kittens are still fearless lol.

Too loud, cat is afraid of it
I have a kitten who is always in attack mode. He’ll pounce on anything that moves.But this toy is so loud that he’s afraid to touch it. He’ll sit and watch it from a foot away, like some kind of cat television, but he won’t approach it until it’s turned off (at which point he tries to chew off the rubber button).I’ve tried it a half dozen times over the last week, and he’s not getting used to it.I gave it 3 stars because it’s pretty well made and seems good quality, and some small aspects of the design are very intelligent (it makes fake noises like it’s extending the feathers when it isn’t, it pauses for a minute sometimes, and seems to actually be random, rather than a programmed pattern).But it’s just a useless hunk of plastic for me. Maybe there’s cats who don’t mind the sound.

Cats Love These Things
I’ve owned a few of these now and every cat I’ve ever presented it to has gone bonkers over it. My last cat went through two. She was a destructive little monkey, but actually a pretty big cat. She could actually grab the feather in her mouth and pick the whole unit up in her mouth and carry it or flick her neck and throw it. She was tough on these, but she really liked beating them up. The cat I have now enjoys sitting and staring at it and occasionally swatting at it. She lets me know she wants to play with it by going and sitting next to it and looking from me to it until I go turn it on. They’re pretty sturdy unless your cat throws them, even then, the case, etc holds up fine. It’s the feathers that take a beating. It comes with one extra feather in the box, but I’d recommend getting the package of spares, too. The batteries last a really long time, even with regular play. It’s a little noisy, but the cats seem to get used to that quickly. It’s a really great toy.

Durable, great-value hands-off interactive cat toy
Our cats go nuts over this toy! It is a great way to play with your cats when you need some hands-free playtime. Battery was included and assembly was so simple. When you start it, the unit beeps and our cats have learned the sounds means playtime. The toy is sturdy and has lasted many bites, paws, and claws. One of our cats can get really rough with it and it’s still been fine! It does come with an extra replacement feather toy just in case. The only “downside” is the loud noise of the unit. Our cats and we have gotten used it it quickly, though. Once it turns on, it stays on for 8 minutes and then turns off. It also has a fun feature where it sticks the feather toy out for about 5 seconds every few minutes.

Update after a few months : our cat’s favourite toy. She LOVES this. So happy with the purchase and batteries last a long time.We have a very playful cat (2 years old) and working from home it’s nice to turn this toy on which will entertain her for a while, and then she’s tuckered out so goes to nap. I win!Original:Cat loves it. She’s gets ticked when we put it away and meows at us until we put it back out again. She climbs up on to the shelf and sits next to it until we get the message she wants more. She’s a very playful cat so suitable for her. It is noisy but I think that helps keep the cats interest.I really like that it’s random patterns and every now and again the feather sticks out to give a bit of satisfaction of “you caught me”. It also has an auto off timer after about 10 minutes. Only on day 2 but so far the cat loves this

My cat loves to play, but I don’t always have the time to play with her as much as she would like so I was keen to find a toy that she could play with on her own. Other videos of the Ambush Interactive looked fun so I thought we’d try it out.As other reviews have mentioned, it is pretty loud and does make a a scraping mechanical sound. When I first turned it on, she was pretty afraid as she’s very timid. It took about three days of me intermittently turning it on and her simply observing from afar before she would play with it. Now, the Ambush Interactive controls my life.When it isn’t on, she sits beside it and screams. At night, she screams until I turn it on. She sits on it. She tries to get under it. She loves this toy more than she loves me, her food, or watching birds.It can amuse her for hours, she’d play with it constantly. A fabulous toy that will provide endless entertainment for your cat!

Har köpt dom flesta kattleksakerna på marknaden. Men denna är lätt favoriten till en av mina katter. Haft den ca 1 år nu och den fungerar bra och han har inte tröttnat. Den andra katten leker ibland med den.
