Convenient, less scooping
I’ve been a cat owner for many years and currently have three cats. Since they’ve always lived outdoors, I’ve been using traditional litter boxes. Recently, with the colder weather and my busy work schedule, I finally decided to give an automatic litter box a try. After using it for two or three days, I have to say it’s incredibly convenient. My cats now prefer using the new litter box, and I no longer have to scoop litter as frequently. There’s also significantly less odor. Even my boyfriend loves it. Our old litter box has been almost abandoned by the cats.However, I noticed that the space in the litter box isn’t suitable for male cats that stand while urinating. I can understand why some reviews mention leakage. If a cat sprays high and doesn’t aim directly at the litter, the urine can flow out through a small hole at the top or get stuck in the connection between the barrier and the pad. That said, for cats that use the box properly, this isn’t an issue.Another thing is that I’m not using PETKIT litter. Based on the instructions, if you use their litter, a full bag perfectly matches the max fill line. But since I’m using a different brand, I can’t see the max line when refilling, so I’m unsure how much litter to add.Lastly, regarding a commonly mentioned complaint about litter and urine getting stuck in the seam between the pad and the inner drum: I was initially worried that cleaning it might be a hassle. However, it seems the drum can be washed directly, so taking it outdoors and rinsing it off shouldn’t be too difficult.

Better than my expectation!
This is my first time having a cat, and I just want to give her the best. Honestly, I had no idea what to pick at first, but after a friend recommended this machine, I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be way better than I expected—super convenient! I was a bit nervous at first because of some online reviews mentioning things like urine leaks or bad smells, but luckily, I haven’t had any of those problems. My little one is pretty clean and always uses the litter properly.After just a few days, I already feel like my life is so much easier. I don’t have to scoop or clean up anymore, and my cat seems to love it too!If there’s one funny downside, it’s that my cat refuses to come out of the machine! She just loves staying inside, and I think it’s because she finds it too cozy. Even when she doesn’t need to use it, she just curls up in there. Every time I call her to come out, she gives me this sad little look, like I’m interrupting her “me time.”I’m starting to think I should get her a comfy little bed of her own—maybe then she’ll spend more time with me!

We had some work to add a new outlet where the litter box was. Took the opportunity to get some other work done.Anyways, app is a bit off. Notification options need some work, I get it already fat cat is playing in the litter again, and kitty is constipated. I don’t need a notification each time, but I still want a notification when litter is low, shyt bag is full, or other reasons it may need my attention.On the up side it’s pretty decent at keeping clean, worst chore in the house is now gone.

My cat love his new toilet
I purchase this self-cleaning cat litter box before Christmas, and it is a great Christmas gift for my cat. This is a plug and play litter box which I don’t need to install too many parts, just plug in the power and easy setup. The litter box works quiet and there no loud to disturb my cat. I tried multiple classic litter box, and some of them have leaking problem but this item does not have any leaking problem. There is only a small issue that when my cat first reached to this litter box, he just poke into the box and explore around, and the phone app notified me that my pet uses the toilet many time while he exploring the new box, I think the detection system may not detect if the cat actual use the toilet or just play in it, minor problem but I’m fine with it. I would love to try more pet products from PETKIT.

High four – Nice product with no major issues but several small ones.
I generally like this, but there are enough small problems with it that, at this price, I couldn’t quite give it a 5.- It’s hard to carry. Some parts you think you might be able to grip are held on loosely by magnets, and there are no handles anywhere. I would have liked to have them on the sides of the body, and the drum itself could have one above the opening and it wouldn’t interfere with the rotation. (On that note, it doesn’t rotate all the way around, in case you have seen those videos of unsafe litter boxes and are worried about this one. The hole remains clear.)- The little non-stick fabricky thing at the bottom doesn’t come up as high as my cat pushes clumps when she’s done and covering things up (even when I am not filled anywhere near the max line) and the walls of the drum above it can stick to clumps, so I often have to go in and break those off and run the cycle again.- Sometimes the other parts of the drum get smudges on them during the cleaning cycle, and it’s hard to see and reach those. I don’t want my cat getting them on her head, so I have to check frequently.- That fabric thing I mentioned before has a “max” line but it’s not level with the ground when you are in the mode where you are supposed to add litter, so it’s guess and check. I wish it were deeper too.- The app occasionally tells me that I have a mysterious second cat that weighs half as much as my cat. This is my cat sticking her head and front paws back in to keep burying stuff. This one is a bit of a nitpick but it feels like it should be something the app understands.It’s still generally good though, and my cat likes it even though in the past, she’s rejected anything but large uncovered boxes. I have been looking out for the issues I’ve seen people complain about with the original puramax, and the big design flaws from that one haven’t shown up for me on this one.
