The smell is awful!
These work great for our rescue Min Pin, she does not like loud noises and is terrified of storms to the point she throws up (we believe she may have been abused in her previous homes before my BF rescued her). Usually we give her one before the storm hits (or fireworks start, etc.) and then an hour or 2 later, we give her another to help calm her nerves. She hates wearing anything so we have never tried a thunder jacket. Before these pills, we would have to hold her close to our body with a pillow over top of her with only her nose exposed in order for her to calm down. These chews have been life saving. The only downside, is the smell is horrible, I have to hold my breath and immediately wash my hands after giving one to her. She seems to like the taste though and I won’t take away any stars just based on the smell. Definitely will buy again.

Chill dogs
I tried these for my 2 big dogs during a trip. They both love riding in the truck but the drive was 7 hours. These helped my loves to chill out just enough that my old gal wasn’t acting nervous, and both layed comfortably (enough) with me in the back seat for the ride there a d back. Both dogs ate them like treats so obviously they liked the flavor 😋 – then again they aren’t picky lol.

Great for stress and corgi approved!
I bought this product for my dog who has noise phobia. He’s not a fan of fireworks and can’t take any prescription medication for it. These chews work great. They do take about 45 minutes to work. I think they’re a bit stinky but my dog loves them.They come in a nice little container that keeps the chews fresh and are easy to store.Corgi approved!

They stink, literally
My dogs eat them, even my picky Chorkie sometimes. They smell AWFUL tho, like BO or the like, very strong and sharp. I’ve noticed a lot of calming treats have a strong odor of some kind tho, not all the same.Be aware, esp if you’re sensitive to such things.Effectiveness is meh on our end as well, probably won’t rebuy.

Bad Smell of chews and urine, Killing Lawn
We recently switched to this brand because of the desirable price and used these calming chews for almost two weeks for our two small terriers. These chews smell terrible and could be smelled even through the closed packaging and closed cabinets. We ended up switching them to an air tight container because our kitchen was starting to stink. Admittedly, the chews did work to relax our two small dogs whom we give calming aids to every night for sleeping. Like other reviewers have mentioned, our dogs’ urine began to smell horrid as well. The final straw with these chews was that it was starting to kill our manicured lawn. All throughout our very green lawn, there are yellow discolored spots from the dogs’ urine. This is the only change we have made to their diet in this timeframe and they have no health issues. We’ve been using other calming aids and never had this reaction. We ended up throwing out the container and will go back to our previous brand.

Life saver!
This product is magical. Pure, dog friendly gold. I recently got my sweet husky pup, she has never been inside until I got her, and she comes to LIFE after dark. Well, huskys being huskys, are sorta clingy and love to bark and howl, which is totally cool, but I was exhausted from sleeping 3/4 hours a night so I decided to get her some calming chews just until she warms up to her new life and schedule. She’s like a normal husky and saves her treats for another time, so I put some puppy safe peanut butter on this chew and she ate it right up!! It’s not like they knocked her out like a kid on benadryl, that’s not what i wanted, but it put her at ease and she was able to lay in her bed next to ours just fine and content without barking at me all night lol. This is an absolute must have now. Won’t be a every day thing, but it will help in certain situations. Plus, 120 of these for that price, it’s a must have for anyone even if you might use them for vet appts, 4th of July, date night, or whatever it might be!!

Quality has regressed
I have been using this product since 2022. It was a nice chewy morsel for my small dog. This last container, although not expired the morsel is nolonger chewy. It us hard as rock.Apparently it is a stored in a hot warehouse.
