Have owned this product for nearly a year and you should buy it but here are some thoughts…I’ve had cats in my home since I was a baby. Now, at 40 years old, I still have never become good about scooping litter regularly. I’m a bit absent-minded, I’ll admit that. So, this is a product that is made to help with my weakness as a cat owner and I am happy I spent money on it. It is very easy to set up and use. I bought a permanent tray and use my own cheap crystal litter instead of what they provide. And, it all makes for a great solution where the waste is being scooped under the lid regularly. My cat always has a clean litter box to go in and that’s amazing.Now, there are still things to keep in mind if you are a loving but absent-minded cat owner like me! If you buy the Forever Litter tray then that will save money as you don’t have to keep buying the PetSafe trays, but it does alter the experience with this so my issues may be unique to this setup.First, the poops get scooped into this tray at the back that is covered. But, if you get lazy about it because you don’t see it, a lot of poop can still be piled up in that tray and attract flies. You gotta stay on top of cleaning that out every so often, which is trickier to do since it is covered so you don’t see the waste. But, yes, every now and then, still do your scooping to make sure there’s not a pile-up in there.Secondly, the grate that does the scooping can get crud on it and it’s a little difficult to clean. No big deal but it’s a new maintenance thing to do when you want to change litter.And there are a few other things but they may be unique to the litter I use from Walmart or other things. Overall, this has saved me a ton of time and has improved my cat’s quality of life (cleaner litterboxes) so I am very pleased. There is still maintenance and work you have to do but it makes the entire litter process 90% easier on a cat owner and makes it 100% better overall.

After three years of use, it’s worth every penny!
After three years of consistently using this litter box, I would definitely say that I recommend it and it’s worth every penny I spent on it. I snagged this on a Black Friday sale for about half off on a whim, and it is one of the best products that I have gotten for my cat. This is a great investment, despite being expensive. If you buy this, I will highly recommend investing in one of the litter bundles after your first month is coming to an end. It saves a few dollars in the long run despite having a hefty price tag off the bat.All that being said, I would actually prefer if I could click on 4.5 because that’s what this truly is in my mind. While I recommend this product and love it at home, there are some issues. The litter tracks badly in my experience, but it can be solved with being vigilant about cleaning up or investing in the top entry add-on. I’m not trying to say that you need it, but it definitely has helped me since my cat is kind of a mess. I have also had to carefully extract a piece of litter from my cat’s eye once or twice, which in the moment was a little scary. She’s completely fine now and it did not cause any issues for her, but I suggest being aware and checking in on your cats just in case.If your cat likes to kick their litter around into big piles, be aware that it can interrupt the sensors when the machine rakes the litter. You just have to get a scooper, level the litter and reset the machine. It’s very easy to do, but it can be annoying for your cat if you don’t notice the machine not working for a while. It doesn’t make a noise or any big indicator that there’s something wrong besides a red light, so I recommend still checking up on the machine every once in a while. It hasn’t happened to me a lot, but I think it’s still something to be mindful of.That’s about it for my negatives, everything else is a pretty big win for me. My cat is happy to have a consistently clean litter box, I don’t feel guilty for forgetting to clean her litter box, and litter day is super easy for me. If I got a second cat, I would probably just buy another one of these boxes to be honest. That is how much I genuinely enjoy my purchase, and it’s one of the smartest purchases I’ve made for my cat. Any other issues that I’ve had besides the ones I listed above were honestly user error. Like getting the tray in properly for example, I struggled with it for a month or two before I got the hang of it. It wasn’t a huge issue, just annoying because I wasn’t doing it right.

It was working fine and honestly it never used to clean out 100% litter however i was happy at ties it used to do its job well however it has completely stopped working now and i am going to write to them for a refund

I like the concept. Issue is the waste area is extremely small. I have two Maine Coons and after two poops the waist trap is completely full. It was actually more work than the regular litter box. I even went out to buy more crystals which is more expensive than litter. This is a waste of time and money. With the regular litter box I can go 2 days without cleaning it. With this machine I had to do it everyday. Sometimes twice.
