Great for cats that love to hunt
Our cats love these. Perhaps a little too much. Find them all over the house, and they love to let us know by meowing loudly when every they’ve successfully ‘hunted’ one.

Depends on Cat’s Playstyles
I have mixed feelings on these crawfish (though I am pretty sure that’s actually a shrimp.) toys. For one, two of my cats love these. So far, they’ve been flung around and carried quite a bit while the cat screams around them. However, that’s not really rough on the toy. The third initially was interested, but then kind of decided he doesn’t care. He would be the one to rip it apart and possibly eat the pieces. And that there, is where I’m not totally sure about the toy. It feels like a fishing lure. It’s that same squishy rubber silicone type feel. So, if your cat is the type to really abuse the toys, ripping apart may happen fast and your cat might end up eating pieces. The legs specifically are thinner and really easy to rip off. It does tend to kind of rip in one chunk if it does rip, so there should be a point in time where you’re able to check it.Playology makes some “infused” toys, and these crawfish are supposedly infused with catnip. Considering the initial obsession my cats had, I’m sure it’s there, but I can’t detect it. Similarly, I have a peanut butter dog toy by the brand that I can’t smell anything about, but my dog loves it. In addition, and back to the crawfish, I have taught my dog that anything catnip is NOT his. As soon as he sniffed one, he left the crawfishes alone despite the texture being appealing to him. So, the catnip infusion is probably there. So, I think whether these will be interesting or safe for your cat depends on play style. If they’re super rough on toys, I don’t know if these will be the best for you. If they’re not, they may get a kick out of the squishy texture and the novelty of it.

Best Cat Toy I’ve Purchased
My cat absolutely loves these. They are wiggly and silly. They have just enough bounce that he can toss them into the air himself and be endlessly entertained.

Cute and unique idea but both my toy loving cats could care less for these.
I have an extremely playful sphynx cat and a moderately playful ragdoll cat, both on the younger side. The most I could get is a chase/pounce when I would toss these and that was it. My cats weren’t interested in engaging with these toys solo and I couldn’t hold their attention very long. They have an odd rubbery feel sort of like fishing bait and they are on the larger side of around 3″ long. Relatively pricey in my opinion and a bit of a let down since other reviewers’ pets allegedly loved these so much. I wouldn’t recommend putting out the money for these unless you can get them cheap or you know your pet will like them.

Super fun for cat!
My cat absolutely loves these gummy shrimp. She loves water, so we threw them in the bathtub and shower, and kept finding them everywhere in the house. Do beware, though. She loved them so much that she started biting the tails off and swallowing the pieces.

DANGEROUS – DO NOT BUY
ALL PLAYOLOGY SILICONE TOYS SHOULD BE BANNED! My cat played with these for less than 1 hour before I noticed pieces of them were breaking off, and she ate some of the pieces. Currently monitoring her as she has thrown up of them, but not all. PLAYOLOGY, you can easily have a lawsuit on your hands!

Toss-Around Toys
Playology’s 4-pack of blue jelly-bodied crayfish toys is getting mixed reviews from my cats. I chose these for two reasons: First, we had a lovely kitty a couple decades ago who absolutely loved to toss around little jelly-bodies white snakes, and I thought maybe our current brood might feel the same way. Second, I seriously had to have something that was described in the headline as having “Lifelike Rubber Bodies with Chewy Guts.” That description was just too good to pass up.The chewy guts appear to be full of catnip, but I can’t really smell it for the plastic. Neither could Mindy. When presented with a crayfish, she sniffed it, then gave me the stink-eye that means “I need Temptations.” She had absolutely no interest. However, Woodrow, who likes to play fetch, thought the crayfish was great. He gave it a lot of good shakes then repeatedly threw it in the air and chased it. Eventually, he brought it to me for longer lobs.I was a little worried that they might chew the little arms off, but none of them did, so these crayfish function well as toys and seem to be durable and safe. Woodrow does scent something in those “chewy guts,” but he doesn’t try to rip into them. So far, the crayfish seem pretty durable for what they are. Out of six cats, three are interested. As for value, they’re very pricey.
