This box is capable of so much and has so many functions it’s difficult to tell how useful it will be in a particular role. For starters it’s an audio interface, and that’s an important first brick in the wall of recording. Something has to convert your singing, yodeling, or jug playing to digital so it can be recorded and manipulated. It’s a single integrated circuit (a digital to analog chip or DA) that will do the conversion, but that chip needs power, controls for adjustment, and support for sound sources such as microphone levels or line level inputs. An Audio interface brings all those functions together, adds USB communications and a way to monitor (listen) the incoming or outgoing sound. In addition to being an audio interface, this mixer has functions for DJ sets, streaming sessions, podcast recording, and karaoke type practice or performance. It has a rechargeable battery, smooth knobs and positive feeling buttons. It also comes with a considerable set of cables to try out various configurations.I think this would be great for someone getting into mass-media/broadcast arts. It gives you the ability to try out these workflows and make mistakes on a low-dollar machine and in the low-bar podcasting or streaming space. If you make a podcast and decide it stinks, change the name and apply what you’ve learned to the ‘new’ show. There are exactly zero laws against that. This thing seemed complicated at first glance.Once I started figuring it out though, it wasn’t too bad.Still not something I’d call “plug and play”.If you’re willing to put in a little time to learn it, it works well.This thing is solid! It’s got some weight to it, and you can tell they didn’t cheap out on the construction. Feels like it’ll last forever.I was nervous to try a new audio interface where the sound could not be that great. I haven’t received any complaints about the sound quality and my recordings sound clean and clear.Wow, This thing does a little bit of everything. Singing practice, podcasting, even DJing. That’s pretty cool for one device.For everything this thing does, the price seems fair since it can be used for a bunch of different things. I’ve been wanting an audio interface and this one is it with the different options it has. It is awesome to be able to use the same device for singing practice and streaming. This would be the one!

Fun features, weird I/O layout
This is a weird little audio interface. The functions and features are fun and simple enough to use, but the in and out ports are a little restrictive considering what this is. It would be nice to have an XLR or 1/4 port instead of just the 1/8 inch ports. I know there are an array of microphones that have this connection, but unfortunately all of mine are standard. I will need some adapters to use this, so that is a bit of a bummer. If you’re someone who primarily uses 1/8 hardware, this would work fine. Otherwise, the use case of this interface seems a good bit limited

We ordered this to use as a relatively simple, portable audio mixer for podcasts and it has worked great so far. The instructions were clear enough that my husband and I, (total beginners), were able to get it working well with only a few minutes of setup and trial. I feel like the price leans a little on the high side for what you get quality-wise, but I’m happy with the audio quality we’re getting from it and it would make a great starting point for anyone just beginning.

I was so happy to have found this audio mixer because my 7 year old son is on the path to becoming an audio engineer or producer. He loves making/mixing sounds.
