These have soft squishy memory foam that does a little better at molding to your head when being worn vs the standard soft foam from the pulse 3d headset. I like the velour feeling on the outer contact part, and maybe the slightly cooler foam.Design wise, the frame of the headset doesn’t allow all four clips to clip in easily, not these pads fault.Installing tip: four clips hook the oval on. Two of the clips clip on easily, the other two shorter clips don’t. Look at the pics and you’ll see you’ve got to dig inside the earcups and get to the plastic ring. Carefully Push and pull from the inside to get the last two clips in, shouldn’t take a lot of force at all, it’s just the angle, light pull, and gentle push that’ll make the last two to clip in.look at the four clips as your taking them off, you’ll notice the oval shape will only align one way so you can’t mess that part up. Use a thin plastic pry bar to shim them off.

Great aftermarket upgrade for you Sony Pulse headset
I decided to try these replacement earpads because I often found the factory pads getting too warm on my head, and they weren’t exactly the most comfortable. These new pads are noticeably cooler and are a decent improvement in comfort as well. I really like them!I found the process of replacing the earpads to be a pain. Taking the earpads off is simple, but for whatever reason I couldn’t get two of the clips to snap into place, so there was a gap, which I knew wasn’t right. I didn’t want to break anything either, as I thought I was pressing too hard already. After failing to snap them in place I found the factory ones didn’t want to go back on either. So then I knew it wasn’t the fault of these earpads, but the design of the headset. Turns out you have to use more force than you are comfortable with to snap two of the clips of the earpads onto the headset.All turned out well, but man I really thought I was going to snap some plastic while installing the earpads. Again, not the fault of these pads. I love these and would recommend them to anyone.

Closest to original for size
I have tried other replacement ear cups for the pulse headset and none i could find worked quite right… most of them were made entirely to shallow so your ear was peessed against the hard plastic covering the actual speaker unit. These actually fit very well and have a good deep cup so your ear wont be sore from pressing on hard plastic. The cooling effect with these is nice but does not last for very long unfortunately… though they do seem to keep my ears cooler than the original cups… if but just a little bit. They can be a little tricky to install as sometimes they just dont want to click on properly but once you do get these cups onto the headset, it is great.

Great replacement ear pads
So the original ear pads after the first year of having them started to come undone and eventually all the material was gross and peeling and almost completely fallen off. I stopped using these headphones for a while and just let them sit there even though they worked perfectly fine just with ear pads I couldn’t use. Then I found out that you can get these replacements and I was kinda hesitant but worth a try, the price wasn’t too bad. Definitely was worth the money for these honestly more comfortable ear pads and they just snap right in.

These feel great on the ear. The material is super cool and keeps the ears cool too. Only reason for not 5 starring it is because on of the pieces won’t fully clip onto the headset.

Don’t be like me. Really focus on the details for step 4. You have to physically press on the last remaining clips, using your thumb. Really feel the clip under your thumb, through the cushion. Push in, you’ll hear and feel a satisfying clip. Clipping is easy once you understand this. Bought twice for two different sets of headphones. Struggled each time (30+ mins). No more. These are fantastic replacement except that the hole through the cushion seems a tad smaller. Hope this helps.
