I was tired of getting mauled by my sweet cat who likes to be on my shoulder or chest, but has needle like claws. I decided to try this and it works like a charm. No scratches on shoulder or upper back or chest, as long as I wear it. Machine washes well.

These are great with having a parrot
I have several of these capes. I have been using them for years. This one is longer than most on the market, so it’s the only one I buy. My Amazon does tend to try to pull off the snaps when she’s on my shoulder. She has successfully done that several times, so some are now missing snaps. Even though it’s the longest one I can find, I do wish it was a few inches longer. All in all, I like these capes and will continue to purchase them. The quality is good and they last a long time.

It is made of material that is easy for my cockatiel to comfortably stand on my shoulders and not slip. MaterialIs light but not skimpy, a nice knit. It has plastic snaps that are easy to use.
