So Much Better than the Wire Rack
I ordered this for our new Lionhead bunny. His hutch came with a wire rack for hay, but it was so messy. I feel like more than what he pulled out on his own would fall into the floor grates and get wasted. When it came time for me to fill it up, it would fall all over the garage floor. This hay feeder is so much better because the bottom is closed. There are 4 windows on the front that they can pull hay from, and the top has a velcro closure. It has hooks attached so hanging is super easy.

Works – but not for larger rabbits
Feeding hay to rabbits in the past always meant that they tended to spread around more than they seem to eat. Some would fall through the cage floor or get spread so thinly they used it more as bedding than food.This simple device consolidates the hay so more hay is available for eating. The feeder hung easily on the door and filling it was not a problem.However, our large rabbits ignored the feeding holes on the bottom and went for the top to eat. In an included image you can see they chewed the material trying to get to the hay. Not a part of their diet I wanted to introduce.I think this would work for smaller rabbits and animals but the large adult rabbits went right for the top and chewed away at the material as well as the hay.
