Bun Approved!!! Enrichment Activity!
If you are looking for this type of hay holder and you have a bunny 6.5 lbs or smaller, then this one is for you! It’s PERFECT for mini-lop sized bunnies or smaller. My sister has a 4.5 lb lion-lop bunny, Cinnabun, who isn’t used to eating her hay off the bottom of the cage. When I introduced this to her when she was visiting, SHE LOVED IT!!!! My sister usually leaves her hay on the floor of the enclosure. Since bunnies like to poop and pee where they eat, Cinnabun usually pees and poops all over the hay. Of course, once she does that, she won’t eat the hay. I wouldn’t either!!! Would you? LoL! However, the first time I hung this up in her enclosure the last time she visited, she was SOOOO excited and happy! She put her little front paws on the top and pulled out her favorite pieces, typical silly bun! When she sat down and was munching hay, she discovered that she can pull the hay from the front and even the bottom. It was so cute to watch her discover this! It became an enrichment activity for her. It wasn’t just eating hay time. It became an activity to eat hay! PLUS, this isn’t quite closed at the bottom. It stays open a little so the little fine pieces of crappy hay can fall through the bottom!

Good!
Well, when I first got this, I loved it because I thought now they can’t spread their Timothy hay all over the cage and have to lay on it. Then I realize they really don’t know how to get it out of the slots. So I ended up putting some in the basket and some on the outside of the basket. It’s great I’m sure for rabbits, but my guinea pigs are not too fond of it. But all in all it’s a good product.

Perfect for guinea pigs or a small bunny
I ordered this item as an additional snacking spot for my house rabbits. This wooden hay rack is very nice – I like the wood. it was easy to assemble, and it is sturdy. It is a bit small for my two 6-lb bunnies who eat a lot of hay.The hay manger would hold enough hay for smaller pets like guinea pigs, chinchillas, or a smaller bunny.

Very simple design. Small pets.
Ready to go outside of the package. Just a matter of attaching to a cage.Deffinitely go by the dimensions provided rather than the images, because this is small.I like the rawness of the materials. It seems very healthy for your pets.
