Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!
I was wanting to replace my Airpods 2 with something a bit more secure and connection friendly. I ordered some Airpods 4, but after phone calls to Sony and Apple, it was deemed that they were incompatible with my Sony NW-A55 mp3 player. They were also incompatible with my spouse’s Sony NW-A45. I was really taken aback as the player is only 4 years old and already incompatibilities are arising. Shame on Apple for allowing this.So I went with my second choice. I can’t wear regular, in the ear earbuds, as I can’t get appropriate seals. So I looked at various open ear models. I discovered the Shokz OpenFit 2’s during my research but was leery about they fit. I decided to give them a try and was I pleasantly surprised.I have had them about a week, so here are my impressions. First, the fit. It’s a little bit of a learning curve to put them on, but after a few tries, it’s easy. Just turn them around the ear until they are in place. I was expecting them to fit over the ear canal but they actually sit a bit higher. I seemed awkward at first but I got used to it very quickly. And once on, they are very secure. And comfortable. I don’t even realize I have them on. I wear glasses and had no issues.Second, the sound is very good. While I am not a real technophile, the bass and treble both come through. You can change the equalizer in the app or create an equalizer of your own. Very easy to do. And although not true noise cancelling, they really knock enough of the outside noise out to make listening very enjoyable. You can hear subtle outside noise, which is good if jogging or running with obstacles around.Thirdly, charging is quick, took a little over an hour. I have had them in for probably 10 hours and still have a 70% charge in the case.Fourth, the onboard buttons. They are easy to use, just a little learning curve again, trying to remember what one press does, 2 presses, etc. But they work fine. Nice to have volume controls on my earbuds! And finally, the connection. That was an issue with my old Airpods 2. Getting a connection was easy but I suffered constant connection breakups, especially when doing more active things with my old Airpod 2’s. With the Shokz OpenFit 2, I still get fast connection and not a single connection breakup, even when playing basketball. It’s amazing and so enjoyable!!In summation, these earbuds are terrific. I had never heard of Shokz before and am very happy I purchased them. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

What I hoped they would be!
Okay, for background, I’m coming from second generation AirPod Pros (2nd gen) and the Beats Pro Fit. Those two both have phenomenal noise cancellation especially the Beats Pro Fit. But both items give me ear fatigue after about an hour or so of usage. My ears get uncomfortable to the point where I can fight it and keep the buds in but I constantly have to think about them being in my ears because of the discomfort. Between the two, I did prefer the Beats Pro fit because of the security of the fit and it was less likely to fall out during movement. Now enter the Shokz OpenFit 2. I haven’t had open ear buds before so I don’t have much to compare it to in terms of sound quality compared to others. But being a new user and reading prior reviews I wasn’t expecting the buds to sound this good. Now I am rarely in loud environments but the volume of the OpenFit 2 seems to be just as good as the AirPod pros and Beat fit pros that I have. The app also allows you to adjust the equalizer which in turns allows you to turn them up even more. So knowing they won’t block out all sound, I am surprised by how loud they can get to block out a tv in the background or conversation happening. So overall, the sound is better than expected for me. Now if you are in loud environments you don’t want to hear, obviously you these won’t work for you. You want the noise cancellation. Now for the important part–the ear fatigue. It is magical. No tired ears. No pain after an hour of using the earbuds. I wore them for 5+ hours yesterday which is a NEVER thing for my ears up unto this point in life. I used the earbuds on a 3 hour call and never once thought about re-adjusting them or touching them. They just were there. They feel like light sunglasses around your ear. You can tell that they are there but definitely there. So if you’re able to wear a light pair of sunglasses without getting fatigue, then these should be perfect for you.In terms of charging speed and battery life, I haven’t tested it much but they lasted a good 6-8 hours without being anywhere near empty. But the things that were most important to me: comfort and sound quality all passed with flying colors, and these are definitely my new go-to ear phones. Will the other cheaper options have the same feel and quality? I’m not sure about that! But I do know I feel like these are worth the money I paid for them.

OK, so let’s get the one “issue” out of the way. Compared to most closed TWS products these don’t have the same sub bass thump. The bass is there but it a very natural bass so no big sub woofer type bass. So if that an absolute must, these while better then the older model and the one othe open earphone I own, are still not there. But I am unsure any open style ear or headphone ever will be.But that’s not really who this headphone is for anyway… this isn’t meant to drown out the world. It’s meant to allow music to become the soundtrack of your life again, and this regard the Openfit 2 delivers in spades.I bought these as an alternative to using that other style while at home. I know they are meant for sports and when it warms up I will likely use them for jogging and walking. But in my case I wanted them for home use even more. Because I started to feel isolated from everyone with the other style. In this regard these have been amazing, suddenly I can work and feel more connected to my surroundings while being inspired by great music. The bass that is delivered sounds great with rock, jazz, classical, and accoustic music, while the midrange and treble offer a very expansive sound with enough detail to be engaging but not distracting. They sound an awful lot like an openback over ear headphone of you have ever heard that type of product. In regards to the case , battery life and fit. I find the case a bit large but not excessively so. I installed the free rubber outer case I got and am on the fence about it. I appreciate the extra protection, but find it’s a lint magnet and sticky to pocket the case and slightly to heavy for shirt pocket comfort.Battery life is exceptional. I easily wore these from 8am to 8pm and still had 20% battery life left. This was not solid music all that time, more likely around 5hrs, plus maybe 2hrs of meetings with paused music the rest of the time. But that is a huge win for me because I literally just wore them for the entire day.Which brings me to comfort. Because they don’t go in ear. I literally wore these for 12 hours with ZERO discomfort with long stretched where I forgot they were hookef on my ears. I even found I could wear these to bed with more comfort than some of the smaller TWS I specifically bought for that purpose. Not perfect for side sleeping, but more manageable than I would have thought possible. So I feel comfortable if any of my reasons for buying these resonate while your reading, wholeheartedly recommending these.OH, almost forgot! Microphone quality has also been very good with no complaints for phone calls or teams meetings. I have also had a couple calls while walking outside with my wife and no complaints there so far.One final caution / issue. I had some hanging issues when using multipoint. I have followed some reset instructions from Shokz support and so far so good. But have not tested enough to say for 100% certainty the issue is resolved. So can not fully recommend if that functionality is a deal breaker. I will update this review in a week or two with a final verdict in this area.UPDATE on the Multi-Point issue:Follow up on my issue. Unfortunately it happened again today. BUT the cause is how I use Teams on both phone and computer.I initiated several calls from my computer and received one call from my computer successfully. But I then had a call come in from Teams and could not answer quickly, consequently both my phone which also has teams installed started to ring, so my PC and my phone both tried to use my Shokz at the same time and it quickly locked up.This is more of an unusual issue of having 2 devices hammering the Shokz at the same time from the same app. Not a very typical or supportable issue for Shokz to manage. So I have found a setting in Teams (on my phone) to block notifications when active on another device, testing to see if this resolves the issue fully.Until the failure the app on the phone and the Shokz worked without issue other than a bit of lag switching back and forth.

Amazing! Great sound quality and probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I forget I am wearing them sometimes. I was worried about how they would fit because I wear glasses but it’s not an issue at all. They are definitely on the pricey side but 100% worth it in my opinion.

I bought these because I fall asleep with earphones in every night and my airpods , as much as I love them, make my ears hurt when they are in that long. I am very impressed with these headphones so far. They feel well made, not cheap, and dont hurt my ears when I leave them in at night! Battery life also seems to be really good, although most things are when you first buy them 😅

These wireless earbuds offer great build quality, long battery life, and versatile controls, but they lack a battery level display on the case, which is a noticeable drawback.Pros:✔ Well-Built & Durable – The case and earbuds feel solid and well-made.✔ Physical Buttons & Touch Controls – Having both options is great, and the buttons are well-placed, responsive, and allow multiple functions.✔ USB-C Charging – Convenient and future-proof, though the included cable is a bit short.✔ Quick & Easy Pairing – Connected seamlessly to my phone without issues.✔ Long Battery Life – Lasts a long time between charges.✔ Comfortable Fit (for most users) – I can wear them all day, and they stay in place during daily activities.✔ Great for Office Use – Allows situational awareness while listening to music.Cons:❌ No Battery Level Indicator on the Case – There’s no way to check if the case is nearly dead or fully charged, which is a basic feature found in many lower-end products. You can see the earbuds’ battery level on your phone, but not the case’s.❌ Fit May Vary – While comfortable, they don’t fit my ears perfectly, affecting sound quality. When I press them in, the sound improves significantly. This is likely due to my ear shape rather than a flaw in the earbuds themselves. Or probably that’s just the way an open-ear headphone performs.Final Thoughts:Overall, these are a great pair of open-ear wireless earbuds with a lot to like—especially the physical buttons, long battery life, and solid build quality. The lack of a battery display on the case is disappointing, but it’s not a dealbreaker. If they fit your ears well, they should perform well. For me, I still prefer my in-ear headphones quality over these for listening to music, but if I am on the road I feel these as a safer option.

Great sound. Super lightweight and i wear them when running. Stay in place no problem. Highly recommended. The app is easy to use and allows to set up the sound as you like it which even more improved the already great sound.
