Fuzzy focus. I’ve tried literally everything & can’t get a crisp photo out of this lens.
I spent $1000 on this for a trip to Iceland. I’m a hobbyist photog but for the most part I know what I’m doing. When I first tested this lens with my a6300, I thought it must be user error so I kept trying but haven’t had any luck. Instead of a crisp focus, I get a halo/glow effect on smaller details that should be crisp. I researched the issue for hours and couldn’t find a solution. I tried LITERALLY every setting on my camera with no luck. I definitely have buyer’s remorse and wish I could return it but I passed the window. I even called Beach Camera from Iceland and they told me to bring it up with Sony. I’m very frustrated. If you want fuzzy photos of puffins and whales and volcanoes, this is the lens for you.
