Superb and versatile Sony 50mm F1.4 G Master!
Fantastic image quality on Sony A7III and Sony A7R3. Quite fast, auto focus. Aperture ring works great and you can lock it if you don’t want to use it and control Aperture from camera body. Two custom buttons for easy access in portrait or landscape orientation can be programmed for many features. Manual or autofocus switch is also very convenient. You can rely on the 50mm focal length to provide a decent amount of compression and the F1.4 Aperture provides nice smooth bokeh with a shallow depth of field.

Great lens
Update: After testing the lens on my old Sony a7III camera, it works great. It turns out that the issue is with my new Sony a7IV camera, not the lens.(Sadly, this lens is malfunctioning. I filmed for two days across three different settings, and in each one, I had to refilm at least one scene because it failed to focus on me. This is strange, as I never had this issue with my previous Sony lens (a different version, the Sony 50mm 1.4 Zeiss).Unfortunately, I can’t keep it—I want my money back!)

The sharpest
This 50 mm prime lens made by Sony is by far the sharpest lens I’ve ever used and that includes my Leica rangefinder lenses I owned a few years ago. It has been more than 10 years since I’ve owned an auto focus 50 mm 1.4 prime. I had forgotten how much faster and more responsive an af system is when using a fast prime.Well-built with a very beneficial features on the lens barrel; aperture lock, the ability to declick the aperture ring, to custom function buttons.

As all reviews tell, this is a great lens. Sharp rendering with superb bokeh. The only drawback is the lens flare when shooting against the sunlight.

Esta óptica no necesita descripción, es lo mejor que se puede conseguir. Realmente no veo el negocio en pasar al siguiente nivel de apertura con el aumento de precio tan alto y sin cambios en la calidad de la imagen salvo el desenfoque.Excelente autoenfoque, muy buen comportamiento en escenarios de baja iluminación y prácticamente nula aberración cromática.En manual también se trabaja muy cómodamente.Además, el vendedor me ayudó a resolver un inconveniente durante el envÃÂo, con prontitud y de manera satisfactoria. No le doy más de 5 estrellas porque no se puede.
