Absolutely incredible. I’ve tried multiple earbuds, and nothing comes close to these. Here’s why I didn’t keep the others I tested:Beats Fit Pro – Poor sound quality, uncomfortable, but at least they stayed in.Sony WF-1000XM5 – Fantastic sound, but uncomfortable and occasionally fell out. They stayed put if I shoved them in, but chewing gum or bending over made them slip.Soundcore AeroFit 2 – Interesting concept, but too unconventional. They barely stayed on my ears, and while the sound was decent, they just sat on the outside of my ear rather than feeling secure.These earbuds outshine them all in every way—comfort, fit, and performance. If you are looking for earbuds that sound great, and stay put while being active, look no further.

Poor noise cancellation, overly complex controls
I bought these because as of early 2025 The Wirecutter said they were going to be the new top pick. But I’m returning them after three days. The sound quality is fine, and they fit great. But the noise cancelling doesn’t work well (still plenty of noise, there was a whistling sound from the left ear, and PA announcements cut through loudly). The auto-location feature for noise cancellation was very distracting, switching modes at the wrong time for no apparent reason. Tapping controls are not intuitive, and I had to use the app to switch modes. Even still, tapping to answer or hang up a call worked only about half the time. Plus, when I blow my nose while wearing them, they stop entirely (maybe it thought that was some sort of audible command to pause?). So these are not going to be my go-to headphones, especially when there are other great ones for less than a third of the price.

Beautiful earbuds.
I love the design, the sounds is great and battery life is awesome but the fit is not very good. If the ear supporters could come in different sizes like ear gels(s, m, l) it will help the ear buds fit better or much better because everyone’s ear shape and size is different.

As always Sony delivers, definitely the best ear buds that stays in place, it doesn’t move at all even when running. They also give you different parts to adjust the size in case the default doesn’t fit you.Also the ear buds work perfectly on Linux in case some fellow users wonder.The only thing I might not be really happy with is the charger box that doesn’t have much resistance in the opening system and seem fragile, so I am unsure if it will break in the future.

Works great, but hurts my inner ear

These Sony Linkbuds are pretty awesome but they should be considering they come with a hefty price tag.I have had terrible luck with earphones and earbuds (all but one – my current ones, have stopped working or are not working properly; static, one ear is not functional, etc). Since these are so expensive, I am assuming these are of superior quality and should last a long time, hopefully a lifetime *fingers crossed*.Now I was very fortunate in obtaining this through Amazon’s Vine program, so Thank You Amazon! I am grateful because there is no way I would have been able to afford these otherwise. Their current price, at the time of this review, is a whopping and not too demure $299.99, which is at the very expensive range of any spectrum. The buds comes inside a very elegantly designed storage case; it literally looks like porcelean, and yes, these do look expensive. The moment I took one of the ear buds out of the storage case, it immediately initiated the Sony app to pop up on my phone (clever technology) and I ended up downloading it and signing up. Not sure if this is required since the bluetooth works well enough if you just want to listen to music.The buds are an excellent size for my ears. Small, compact, these fit perfectly snug. I would state these are some of the most comfortable ear buds I have ever owned and I have no issues with them falling out.The sound is also impressive. Crisp, clean, clear; in comparison to my previous buds, the difference here is immediately evident, these are superior. These buds boast in being noise cancelling and I have to hand it to Sony, they did an excellent job with these as these are the closest to noise cancelling as you can get. The tap controls are still a bit iffy but I am never able to master this feature on any of my ear buds so this is more a user issue and not really a product issue.Now the one area where these are similar to the cheaper alternatives is the battery life. The battery life once charged is not as impressive as its sound performance. These last a fairly long while but I’ve had much cheaper earbuds that lasted an eternity more when fully charged. However this is not that big of an issue considering I still get a few hours out of them which is not too bad.Also inlcuded are additional bud tips, manual, and charging cable type-C.Now are these worth the high and mighty price-tag? Dunno. Yes, these check off all the boxes in looks, performance; sound and features. But I cannot comment yet how durable and long lasting these are since they are still brand new. For the moment, the performance here is top notch, and the features and overall quality are excellent. If you can afford to spend $300 on excellent quality Linkbuds, then go for it. I will be taking good care of these and am hoping these last me forever and a day since I am loving the sound experience so far.
