    Excellent and cost-effective USB-C dock
There’s very little to complain about with this dock. The build quality is good for the price – it’s an all plastic design, which contributes to a very low weight, but this shouldn’t be an issue during normal use. The port selection is very nearly perfect – the only thing I would have liked to see is a USB-A port on the front. It otherwise has all the ports I would expect a well-thought-out dock to have. It’s designed with an incredibly bright blue power LED, but this can be blocked very easily with a small piece of electrical tape. Other than these two issues, I haven’t had any other issues. I’m incredibly impressed with the functionality of this dock. The included USB-C cable is very sturdy and seems to be high quality. The setup is basically instant – it’s plug-and-play in Windows 10 and 11.It has an external power supply.

Works great and does everything I need
I was really searching for a while for a dock that fit my needs of two monitors and a host of peripherals that need to be hooked up for my home office. This thing is flawless and at this price point and is one of the cheaper 100w hubs that you can buy especially with the latest display ports which is necessary for monitors with high refresh rates. My only criticism is that I wish the body of the unit had mounting holes so that I can mount it the back of my desk out of sight and out of mind but that is a personal preference. Very happy and highly recommend.

    Gets the job done
This was exactly what I needed. I had tried many of the cheaper ones but they all had issues. This is worth the money.

Does work with MacOS, but with caveats
They don’t really sell good universal USB C docks with a detachable cable and a single monitor connection, so I settled on this after it was on sale. It doesn’t have the dumb design decisions of putting ports or the main cable on the sides. It provides a cleaner desk by connecting via back. Sure wish the there was a 3.5 mm line out port in the back, which I distressingly find to be rare.I don’t really use Windows PCs, but I plan on doing so in the future. I primarily use this with my MacBook Air m1 and sometimes my iPad Air w/ USB C. It works well, though with my MacBook it sometimes needs to be “refreshed” by unplugging and replugging the main connection. It has nothing to do with the dock in my opinion.Just be aware that for MacBook users, you can’t magically add three monitors and get them to work. MacBook m1 models can only do 1 external monitor, so it is fine for me since I have no room for additional.

Great dock if your laptop is capable.
Works great with my ThinkPad T14s AMD. It is driving dual 4k 60hz display plus a 1440p 60hz display plus my keyboard and mouse.

    Best Dock on Amazon
So I have been in a year long battle with the Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Dock Gen 2 (40AN0135US). I have two laps, a pure usb-c AMD lap and a work laptop that is Thunderbolt on the upstream usb-c port. Getting them both to work was possible in the beginning with the default factory firmware, but after updating there were major problems no matter what firmware was loaded; I spent months trying to work. Long story short, I was so frustrated I went looking for something else. After brute force searching Amazon for every dock that was displayed, I happened onto this jewel. (Startech DK31C2DHSPD) The company is American and has been around since the 1980’s, but more to the point, this dock has a feature set that no other dock matches in one dock. I thought it might be too good to be true that it would fix the two lap problem, but guess what, it was not too good to be true. My main criteria for a new dock was that it had to have at least 100w PD output with two usb-c outputs and a usb-c upstream port that would work with thunderbolt 3 upstream. I initially hunted for something that had only usb-c ports but such a thing does not exist in this combination. The bottom line is that this dock works perfectly with both a pure AMD machine and a work level Lenovo thunderbolt 3 laptop. If you are one of those users that has been suffering with the Lenovo docks, I tell you now to please don’t subject yourself to that anymore and order one of these immediately. It is more than worth the money. In fact, this dock may be the most underrated dock on Amazon for it’s performance and features. I have a 120hz 53″ Oled screen using the HDMI output and there is no holdback on getting to 4k resolution at 60hz, with either laptop. I currently run the monitor at 1080p, 120hz on the AMD and for work I run the monitor at full 4096×2160@60hz on the Lenovo lap with thunderbolt 3. It has one drawback and that is that you can’t game with it because it doesn’t support native GPU at the display/hdmi ports (yet), but if you aren’t gaming it works fantastic, and if you are, you just connect your hdmi direct to the lap temporarily which is what I do. I can’t tell you guys how happy I am right now with this dock. May sound funny but all that pain I went thru to get to this buying decision was worth it with this dock now on my desk. Do yourself a favor and get one post haste.

Bought it because of great reviews and the fact it was specifically mentioned it works which chrome book. Did not work, contacted tech support to be told because I had a higher version of chrome it would not work. (See picture) Lost all the confidence in the product and the company. Do not recommend

This is one of the few USB C 3.2 gen 2 docks at the time of buying it that had all the features I wanted and wasn’t thunderbolt only. It works very well and the quality feels good, all the cables are very thick and high quality and I doubt any of them will ever fail. The power supply is incredibly heavy for its size, makes the dock itself feel very light. Also at this price I was expecting the whole dock housing to be made of aluminum but turns out it’s all just plastic. It’s really no big deal, doesn’t affect the functionality, but kinda surprised. The rubber feet on it however are really good at keeping it in place. For compatibility, I got this for my new laptop that has an AMD 5800H and it works flawlessly, because the usb c ports support DP 1.4 alt-mode. I tried it with my old laptop through a USB A to USB C adapter and it worked for everything except the display outputs. This means the dock adheres very well to the USB standards and no weirdness should be expected. There’s a power button on the side of the dock that completely turns it on or off and that’s kinda handy to not have to disconnect devices manually when trying to troubleshoot things. For the bad things, there’s a light at the front of the dock that is incredibly bright. It’s by far the brightest single LED on my desk and it’s basically facing me directly so it’s really distracting. I did try to put some kapton tape over it to dim it, which works, but it also makes it look very bad. The light stays on at all time even if the host computer is turned off or disconnected, so you have to turn off the dock manually with the button. This is annoying for me because my desk is in my bedroom, so it’s another button to press every night when turning off the computer and monitors. The SD card slot has USB 3.x speeds, which is great. However the slot itself is a cheap one with no spring action. So you insert the card, there’s no tactile or audible feedback that it’s properly inserted, and to take it out you have to just pull it out while feeling it rub on the rough plastic housing. It’s not a good feeling and I was really surprised to see this on such an expensive device.Edit: another weird thing I found is that the included USB C cable is not reversible. It only works in one orientation. This is not a big deal as usually I don’t need to reconnect it many times but it’s weird considering the whole point of USB C is to be reversible.
