Good for what you’re paying
I was a little worried about purchasing a canvas hammock with spreader bars. Up until now, the only hammocks I’ve used have either been canvas without the bars, so they make more like a banana shape, or rope hammocks with the bars. This type of hammock definitely requires a little more skill and balance than the others because it doesn’t envelope you, but after a little practice, it was quite comfortable. However, if you already have difficulty getting into and out of, or staying stable in other hammock types, I’d be wary of this kind.This particular one is a pretty good deal. It shipped quickly and is comfortable. It fits perfectly on my 12 foot hammock stand. (I already had one and did not purchase the stand with the hammock.) The quality is mediocre, as others have mentioned. Mine had a little paint chip off the spreader bar, some uneven stitching, and quite a few long thread ends. But, if you want a really nice one then don’t expect to pay this little for it. I’ve only had it a couple weeks so I can’t attest to its durability yet.Someone else mentioned the wind issue, and yes, this thing does catch the wind! On one particularly windy day it ended up dragging my whole hammock stand like a sailboat. So now when it’s particularly windy I just go out and unhook one side of it so it no longer acts like a big sail.Overall I would recommend this if you’re looking for a comfortable and cheap hammock.

Sturdy & durable
Love this hammock, it is very durable and very easy to hang. I have bought this same hammock a few times over the years to replace my worn-out ones. Love it and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable hammock.

Attractive, sturdy, but a bit tippy
This hammock easily fits two adults. The material is also kind of stretchy so you want to be sure you hang it up high enough that you won’t hit the ground when two people are in it. The pillow is comfortable without being too bulky. The hammock seems to be well-made and the color in person matches when is shown online.The only word of caution is that it is a little tippy when getting in and out (more so than the last hammock I had).

Not very durable.
It’s a nice hammock but cannot stand up to weathering. I bring it inside when it rains and in the fall and store it in the garage. I set it up in the spring and it’s mostly in the shade. This would have been is 4th season but its begun to rip at the head and foot in the middle by the wooden bars. Also the color has hugely faded. So, I’ll have to toss it. Hadn’t expected that. 3 years (seasons) isnt much. If you were daily diligent to never leave it up I’m sure it would last longer but i think that’s too inconvenient. I’ll replace it with something better/stronger.

On initial set up, I am very satisfied with this purchase. The assembly was VERY simple and took about 5 minutes for 2 people. I think I could’ve done it alone but definitely easier with an extra pair of hands to hold one end of the frame while you put the other in. The frame feels sturdy and the hammock itself is comfortable and looks great. Just put it up today, so I will update this review if it doesn’t last.
