, Sleep like camp royalty with the ultra luxurious Therm-a-Rest MondoKing 3D Self-Inflating Foam Camping Mattress. With couples in mind, the pad can be paired with a second MondoKing for a double sleeping pad. The pad offers an R-value of 8.0 for maximum year-round comfort thanks to thick thermal foam and StrataCore construction, which uses a continuous layer of thermal foam nestled between alternating ridges of air and foam (R-value measures the material’s ability to insulate; the higher the R-value, the warmer the sleeping pad). Perfect for car camping, expedition basecamps, RVs, and boats, it also makes an excellent guest bed at home. The stable mattress offers maximum stability, cushioning, and protection from rocks, roots, and uneven ground surfaces. All styles have dual valves that allow compressible foam core to expand and inflate when unpacked, and all styles mate perfectly with other Therm-a-Rest MondoKing mattresses with a similar style. Available in three styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve with the 2018 or 2019 model, or equipped with the TwinLock Valve the sleeping pad has dedicated “in” and “out” valves to make inflating and deflating the pad easier than ever. Standard Valve models are 4.0 inches thick inflated and include a stuff sack, and TwinLock Valve models are 4.5 inches thick inflated and include a stuff sack that can also be used as a pump sack (for easier, breath-free pad inflation). Made in the USA. Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.
Camp like royalty with the MondoKing 3D, an ultra-comfy 4.25-inch thick sleeping pad with a stretch knit fabric layer for resting better under the stars
Utilizing two one-way valves, one for inflation and one for deflation, the TwinLock valve system makes setting up and breaking camp a breeze
7.0 R-value insulates in the most extreme conditions using StrataCore construction that utilizes a continuous layer of thermal foam nestled between alternating ridges of air and foam
3D construction creates vertical sidewalls to maximize useable sleep surface and comfort
StrataCore construction allows the pad to easily compress and pack away to a compact 26×10.3 inches in included storage sack
For best performance, inflate your self-inflating pad with air by breath or included pump sack and leave the mattress fully inflated for 2-4 hours before your first use.
Large size measures 77x25x4.25 inches, 26×10.3 inches rolled, and weighs 4.38 pounds; stuff sack/pump sack included; limited lifetime warranty; made in the USA

Best camping sleep for the money.
The only thing I dislike about this, is that it didn’t exist sooner. 😂 Easily the best camping air mattress I’ve ever used. It felt like sleeping in my own bed, because of the foam, it’s great. I slept well, all night, on the ground, in the woods. No tossing and turning, and I felt rested in the morning. It’s not loud or makes weird noises when you move around on it, and it feels soft to the touch instead of plastic or something. It will basically self inflate, but the bag it’s stored in can be used as a pump, which is neat, but I bought the tiny pump for it. Inflates in under 10 minutes I think. It’s a bit bulky, not for backpacking but if your worried about your back and want to camp, use this mattress, my 75yo dad approves. 👍 It seems well built and can support my fat butt so I recon it will yours too, and be comfy. 🥰

Most comfortable
Consider me the princess of the princess and the pea. I’ve tried everything. I had settled on bringing an air mattress when camping. But I was frustrated by 2 things: the cold and having to inflate it multiple times. Never mind how big it is and the fact that I needed a separate tool to inflate them. I have tried many sleep pads from Amazon and with each one, I woke up multiple times during the night with soreness. I didn’t inflate this all the way the first time, and I didn’t know what all the fuss was. I added more air and WOW! It not only helps to keep your body heat from being sucked out, but the comfort is unreal. I never felt the ground and my joints felt supported. It is easy to inflate, let it do it’s thing, then add manually to your firmness preference. It’s also super easy to deflate and it packs smallish. If you are having trouble getting comfortable camping, buy this. It’s a game changer for car camping.

Perfect Car Camping Mattress
I have used this mattresses a couple of times, and it is now my favorite one for car camping. Since it is well insulated it keeps you warm in colder weather. The larger size means plenty of room, and it is comfortable. Seems very durable too, unlike the standard air mattress I used before that got multiple holes in it when the plastic got old after a few years. The Thermarests seem to last forever.

The most comfortable sleeping pad I have used.
The Mondoking is hands down the most comfortable sleeping pad I have had the pleasure of using. I backpack and camp a lot where I live in Colorado. With the weight it is by no means a backpacking pad, however, it is amazing while car camping with my family. If you don’t have to hike too far, a few miles even, this is amazing. Anything beyond that, I would recommend more of a backpacking inflatable pad. It is SUPER comfy and SUPER warm. The coldest I’ve slept on it so far is about 18°, zero cold spots whatsoever. I’ll give an update after torture testing this when I winter camp later this year. Great buy!

“IN” valve is not one-way, as stated in instructions
*** Update – ThermaRest got back to me and sent two replacements. The valves on the new pads work properly. The INFLATION section of the TwinLock Valve Instructions states that “The one-way IN valve will prevent air from escaping”. This is not true. While inflating with the pump sack, when you get above approximately 50 % inflation, every time you pump air in, you can hear it come right back out after you stop pumping. This makes it very difficult to fully inflate. Also, if you put light pressure on the pad with your hand, you can hear the air coming out. I have two pads that I bought at the same time and both have the same issue.I emailed ThermaRest 9 days ago with this issue to see what they’d say, but I still haven’t heard back from them.

Comfort in Camping
Easy to use and very comfortable sleep. It is quite large when rolled up, so if you’re looking for something more compact this isn’t it. The trade off for the large size is the comfort. No more cold nights and deflated air mattresses!!

Comfortable
This had a reputation of being very comfortable, and I agree. I have it on a cot in a back room of my apartment. I’ve slept on it a few times, and find it almost as comfortable as my bed. I sometimes travel cross-country on adventures, and sleep in the back of my car, a Subaru Outback. I haven’t tried it in the car yet, but I’m sure it will be more comfortable than things I’ve used in the past! It fits in half of the rear cargo area, with will work with some tricks & adjustments for my height (6 ft.). It could easily be moved from my car to a tent. One trick to consider. don’t overfill it. I found it much more comfortable after I took a bit of air out of it.

air leak after 3 times use and no support from company
I bought two Therm-a-Rest MondoKing 3D Self-Inflating Camping Sleeping Pad from Amazon.com on 6/25/2023. My wife and I have used them only for 3 times. It turned out that one sleeping pad is slowly leaking air. At night, before I was using it, I pumped air until it was a kind of firm and supportive. However, in the next day morning, the pad became not firm at all, and I can even touch from the top surface to the bottom without much force.I submitted my first request for replacement of the pad (it is still under warranty) at the company’s web site on 12/23/2024 and there has never been replied by the company customer support personnel except the automatic reply. Then I submitted another same warranty request on 1/9/2025. Up to now, no reply at all. What a worst experience with this product and the company warranty supports.

自動空気入りの仕組みがあるのため、使いやすい。また、マットレスが厚いので、心地がすごく良い。XXL ver.を選らんたので、以前使った他のものに比べで、断然贅沢気分。

The Therm-a-rest MondoKing XL is well worth the extra cost compared to other SIM’s, we slept 5 nights on the bed and they’ve not required any additional air since setting up the tent. 2 x XL SIM butted together with a king size base sheet provided excellent nights sleep and I am 6’5”.Please remember to read the instructions and allow the mats to self inflate for an hour or so before use and then add a little top up of air.

Encore merci
