I bought this light in 2021, and it has held up very well!
I like this little lantern because it not only functions as a lantern, but as a flashlight and charger. I used the lantern as a night light in our stateroom on a cruise so we wouldn’t trip over the threshold to the bathroom. The light lasted all night long, and I charged it up every day. It also is great camping and helps to light the tent.

The perfect power outage companion!
This is a great little tool that’s well worth the money. We lost power for about 45 minutes within a week after receiving mine and, believe it or not, I could tell it really helped make the situation less stressful for my 84 year old mother and her friend. First, because I think it gives plenty of light and that alone set them at ease but, as I showed them how the crank worked, I could tell their confidence in this unit grew and they felt they could trust it to provide light and thus, to them, the feeling of safety for as long as needed. Their focus went from the emergency to this “new gadget” and that really helped them cope.I’m not a camper but it’s the perfect companion to have for just such an occassion and was my primary reason for buying it. I really wanted a light that negated the need for batteries and something that would be ready to go whenever needed. Even battery operated devices can fail for a number of reasons when the time comes. I opted for the crank version for just that reason. Being an LED light, it’s amazing how long the light will work with just a short amount of cranking. There are two light levels, pressing power once turns on low, pressing it again turns on high and a third press turns it off. The LED gives good output even on the lowest level. When the light is collapsed, the light is directional and acts as a flashlight with two brightness settings. Used as a flashlight, it’s beam isn’t focused as narrowly as a normal flashlight but it’s directional enough to do a good job over a short distance. But opening the “corrugated” lens turns it into a lantern with two brightness levels for lighting a relatively small area, which is how I used it during the power outage. It lit the kitchen sufficiently to give us the freedom to get up and move around the room safely. Apparently the unit is pretty airtight because to open, or close, the lantern you need to open the cover for the charging port so that air can move in and out as needed to permit it. The charging port can be used to charge the unit’s battery by using the provided cable to connect to a USB port on a USB charger or a computer. Otherwise you rotate the crank handle, which stows away very nicely when not in use, at about 3 revolutions per secondto charge the unit’s battery and it doesn’t seem like you need to crank it very long to provide an hour’s worth of light. It has a very handy handle that pivots open so, like most laterns, you can hang it up to light an area which is how I used it during the outage. Even though it’s plastic, it seems pretty sturdy and because of the battery it does have a little weight. The crank feels like it’s a good quality and it’s very easy to use. Even though it feels sturdy for the most part, I guess time will tell how durable the accordian lampshade will prove to be. But I highly recommend this unit and am very glad I decided to get it. It proved to be the perfect tool to have during the outage and, in addition to providing light, if you connect the USB cable to a cell phone for example and use the crank, you can use it to charge the phone enough to probably be used for short periods. I plan on buying one or two more.

Compact and Versatile Light
** I received this item for free in exchange for my review **Upon receiving this product I was surprised that it seems to be sturdily made. The only portion that might become ripped after lots of use is the accordion lantern section in the middle. With that said, there are plenty of pros:- Compact- Lightweight- Not an eyesore- Provides a decent amount of light in the flashlight mode, as well as, the lantern mode- Has a handcrank- Has a handle to hang (perfect for camping)- Comes with an USB charger which doubles as a passthrough thanks to an included female USB adapter so you can charge this light and something else at the same timeThe only cons I can think of are the potential for ripping the lantern section and the amount of time that you can have the ‘high’ mode on for. In the manual it states that it can go for about 40 mins, whereas the ‘low’ mode could go for approx. 4 hours. I’m going to test this later and will report back. The hand crank seems like a good idea for emergency situations, but I think the conversion is something like 4min of cranking = 11min of ‘low’ setting, so you won’t get an insane return of 30min for 4min of cranking. The manual also stated that to fully recharge the battery it takes 4 hours which is quite long considering in the ‘low’ setting you’ll get the equivalent amount of time.If you plan ahead this would be a great thing to have on a camping trip (of course, it’ll also be good to have some sort of powersource – ie a car) and would work in a pinch.

My son likes to camp in a tent so I picked this up for him since it runs not only on a USB charge but also from a hand crank. It is super compact also. I usually take pics but the pics and video on the product page show everything there is to see. I highly recommend you watch the four minute video as it does an excellent job describing this flashlight/lantern.It has and easy to use on/off button that turns it on at low. Another press advances it to high. Another press turns it off. Very simple to use. It has ports for charging via USB. It has a built-in battery so you never have to worry about replacing batteries. If you away from power on a camping trip you can reply on the attached hand crank which is very sturdy and works well.It also has a handle on top that allows you to attach it to a hook at the top of your tent. If you prefer you can also just place it on the ground upright. It works well as a hand held flashlight or by pulling it open it converts into a lantern. Overall a really well done product at a fantastic price. Be sure you don’t pull too hard when you open because I think you could damage the flexible material that converts it to a lantern. Nevertheless it is a pretty solid light and I have no hesitation recommending it.

I love that it’s both wind-up and collapsible. It takes up next to no space but has two brightness settings. Can use it as a lantern, or as a spotlight. It can sit on a table or be hung. It can be charged by crank, or if you have the means and desire to, USB charge is an option. Good for camping and for the grab-n-go emergency kit. Best little lantern I could find!

Saludos.He de comentar que el producto lo recibà en excelentes condiciones, tanto el empaque como su contenido sin daño alguno y con rapidez.Asà mismo lo he probado ya varias semanas y he cargado celulares, tablets con ella sin problema, la palanca del dinamo es de buen material. Se debe aclarar que los materiales del productos son buenos pero no blindados por ello recomiendo un estuche rÃgido para protegerlo de golpes, lo he probado en el bosque en oscuridad total y he calculado que su alcance de iluminación es de unos 100 mts. Respecto a su posición de lámpara de iluminación perimetral es muy buena he útil de unos 5 mts. La recomiendo ampliamente para todo tipo de usos, práctica y su tamaño es muy versátil.
