Does it’s job, unsure if the base with hold up
The design is good except for the base piece where is connects to the clamp on mine it’s a bit lose. I do love the arm for my mic.

Reaches high, holds the mic firmly
I needed a stand that would reach higher than most of the other desk stands. It is heavy duty and can hold a heavy mic in place. Once you have it in position you can tighten up the joints with the supplied Allen wrench if needed. Perfect!

    Good concept, poor execution.
I like the multiple adjustable angles, however I tend to move the microphone away by raising it when I don’t need it, and lowering it to my face when I will be talking, the retention nut, or whatever the screw goes through is not strong what-so-ever, and the screw is the perfect length to end at the weakest point in the retention nut, which resulted in the nut snapping in half less than a month after purchasing it when I attempted to loosen it, lower it down to myself for a voice call, and tighten it back up so it wouldn’t fall. The screw makes it to about the center of the retention nut, without any of the plastic around it, however the retention nut continues into the other side of the boom arm, where it would be far more structurally sound.

A convenient mic solution for small desks, even if the arms could be a little more stiff
This does as advertised as a fairly compact and stable mic arm. It took some work to make it fit on my current desk, but once it was there, it was easy to move and fold as needed for more desk space. Its ability to transform into a low-profile stand was especially convenient as well.My ATR2100 (with a shock mount) proved to be a little much for the arm at certain angles. Luckily, the three prong system was flexible enough to make it work, especially when I figured out that some of the hinges proved to be more stiff upside down, so it wasn’t too hard to adjust (especially with some tape to keep the wires in order).I think this mic arm with stiffer arms (and a higher mic weight tolerance) would absolutely be a five star product. As it stands, it’s very good, even if you will need to make some significant adjustments in smaller spaces to make this arm work perfectly. You will probably also want some tape to keep your microphone wires properly stored away. Just remember to pop the wire out to avoid cinching or breaking anything when folding it away!

    Flimsy connection to the base
While trying to set it up, one of the screws that connect the arm to the clamp popped out and the other became loose. Afert running my hands around the carpet for a few minutes, I found the screw and got to trying to repair it.One screw required a Phillips-head bit and the other required a hex bit. Point off for using screws for the exact same function but with different heads.I was able to get the screw that popped out screwed back in and tightened and I was able to tighten the other one, but not without a bit of effort and cursing because of how they’re inside the C-clamp and the angle was tough for the Phillips-head to get purchase.I’ve got it attached and am waiting for the shock mount for my mic (which should have been here the same day as this arm, but TBA — Transport By Amazon — lost it). Seems mostly sturdy, but I’m nervous every time I move it.Positives: The sort of fold-away style of it makes it very unobtrusive when I have it folded, so it’s possible to keep it out of the way for the most part when not in active use.Negatives: The screw issue makes me nervous about the arm popping off, so I’m treating it gingerly. A swinging mic arm should not be the most delicate thing on my desk. I might take it apart and use some super glue to strengthen the connection to the base and some thread locker to keep the screws secured… but I’m deducting stars because I shouldn’t *have* to do this.

    Surprisingly good
This desk-mounted microphone boom is fantastic! It was super easy to set up right out of the box, and the wire management is excellent—no more tangled or dangling cables, which keeps my workspace looking clean and professional. It holds my existing mic perfectly, with no extra adapters needed, and the arm is smooth and adjustable, making it easy to position the mic exactly where I need it. Solid construction, great functionality, and a clean look. Couldn’t be happier!

    Wanted to like it…
I thought it was a nice design out of the box.Might be fine with a lighter microphone and if you don’t need it extended out far.I used it with a Shure SM7B Mic and needed to adjust it to my liking. After adjusting the base, it started to hang over with the weight of the mic. I took it apart and saw that the the threading is plastic and stripped after 1 use.
