Waterproof
I love this hat! Bought it because it has a ponytail slot in the rear and also for its waterproof fabric. It also has double sided fabric which you can fold up to pull away from ears or when it is very cold, pull over ears to protect from wind and cold. Works well in the rain to keep by glasses dry. It also has reflective material around the rim which is a plus for me since I work at night. I ordered a S/M which fits my small head. I recommend.

Comfortable
Nice for ponytails, wish there was adjustments for top ponytails.

Warm, good eye shading from brim; Fits very snug
The more I wear this hat, the better I like it. When I first got it, I was disappointed at how tight it fit. I measured the circumference of my head to be 23 inches, right at the cutoff between M/L and L/XL and I ordered the M/L since I already have a hat that is too large and donât like the loose fit at all. Well, different style hat, different fit. I should have ordered the L/XL since this hat has an elastic sweat band around the inside edge of the hat. This is very snug to wear, particularly if I have the ear flaps tucked up under the hatâs rim. However, itâs been really windy the last few days and Iâve grown to appreciate that this stays in place even in strong winds. Iâve also found that it is very warm despite being quite thin, and the ear band covers enough of the back of my neck to help keep that warm, too. I like the dark color of the underside of the brim. That helps reduce any glare off snow and helps me protect my eyes. If I had it all to do again, I would like to try the larger size, but this is working well for me at this time.

Fully waterproof, maybe 80% windproof
I poured water on this hat. Fully waterproof, which is good. I want it for when it’s drizzling outside. I needed something with a brim to keep the water off my glasses. This should work for that. It’s not 100% windproof. I have a fleece, windproof hat that blocks the wind better. I’d say this blocks maybe 80% of the wind. It was 40 degrees and 10 mile an hour wind, which is mild for where I live. Also, my head stayed warmish, but I could feel the cold through this hat, and my head never really warmed up.The fabric is a slick polyester, so it doesn’t feel good to the touch, but that doesn’t matter when it’s on your head.I have a smallish head and I got the M/L (no small option available). The hat was a little too big and kept slipping down my face so the brim pushed on my glasses. I finally managed to adjust it so the elastic band sat right on my forehead and kept it in place. There’s a pull in the back to make the hat smaller, but that didn’t help with the adjustment. The flap that comes down over your ears and neck is nice, but not quite long enough. I have large earlobes and the tips kept sticking out the bottom of the flap and getting cold. All in all, this is a decent winter hat. The waterproof brim is what I wanted and that will work for my purposes. I think since it’s a little large on me, I can wear it with a thin beanie or skullcap and that will solve the warmth problem. If you want fully waterproof with a brim and live somewhere where the winds aren’t too fierce, this should work for you.

Great for winter running
I got this so I can keep my head and ears warm during my cold weather runs, and it hasn’t disappointed. The fit is good, the brim is stiff yet flexible, and the material is thicker than my summer caps and also very flexible. I got the red one, and the color is true to the pictures. It has their logo on the side, which I usually hate, but it’s fairly subtle so I don’t mind it all that much. There’s a handy hidden hold if you have a pony tail, but since I don’t, I can’t comment on it. There’s also an adjustment cord if you want to tighten the hat more. And the reflective bits on the brim and back work great. As for the ear flaps, which is the main reason I got these, they’re fine. They reach down far enough to cover my whole ear, and keep the top of my neck covered as well. They’re not really fleeceâmore of a two-layer fabricâso they’re no match for full ear muffs, but they’re good enough for me. You can tuck them both inside and outside the cap. They look better tucked inside, but it’s a lot more convenient to just flip them up on the outside when you’re on a run. A nice bonus is that they keep your earbuds tucked in tightly (but comfortably). Not that great if you’re using full headphones and especially bone-conducting headphones, though.

This is cool
So I’m a card carrying member of the big head club, and this version of the hat is perfect for us. It’s stretchy, but not enough that it looks weird, it just comes out looking fitted. It’s also fleece lined, and it does work. I decided to do some Christmas lights tonight, and it was 23 degrees out. I spent an hour in complete comfort, (my head at least), not too hot, not too cold, just right. If I had to come up with any sort of negative, if you flip the ear covers up inside the hat, it makes it look like a newsies hat. It becomes extra thick and rides up in the back while staying low in the front. Flip them on the outside though, and they’re fine. Solution? Don’t do that, it’s fine flipping them on the outside.I’m gonna need to look into this company more, because now I want a non fleece version for the rest of the year.
