Buildable volume and doesn’t irritate my eyes
This mascara has a learning curve but I like it. It builds veeeery slowly so at first I thought it didn’t do much, but it does build with the right technique. The trick is to apply a coat, wait about half a minute for it to dry, then apply a second coat or more. It can be built up to extreme length and volume when I apply it this way. As far as performance, it smudges a tiny bit but less than most other mascaras I’ve tried. And it’s one of the few mascaras that doesn’t irritate my eyes and holds a curl decently well throughout the day.

I want to update my review. The first time I used it, it was clumpy. Maybe just thick in the container because since then it has gone on better. Not perfect but better than most.

Save your money, especially if you need mascara for sensitive eyes
Bought because it was highly recommended for sensitive, dry eyes. I’ve used it twice, and it’s more of an eye irritant than a great mascara for my sensitive eyes! It does not look good, it’s difficult to clean off, and it does flake into tiny particles. Ouch! Annoyed that I spent $20+ for this tiny tube of mascara I’ll never use again. Might as well have bought some cheap mascara at the Dollar Tree, literally just as painful & quite possibly less attractive. It dries to this lifeless grayish brown, not black.

Underwhelmed
Okay, I confess, I have used L’Oreal Telescoping Mascara for many years (keep coming back even though I get guilted into trying something else because it is supposed to be “so much better”).So, when I began seeing reviews saying how wonderful this one was, I gave it a try.I agree, on the first use, it was really very nice – long, full, natural looking lashes. But, the second use took more of an application. By the third use, it really took quite a bit to get any significant results. Well, you get the point.L’Oreal takes no more than 5 or 6 swipes to give me nice, long and lush results – for more weeks than I probably ought to admit since I know I ought to replace my mascara more often than I do.

Heavy and clumpy?
My first thought was that this mascara was clumpy. I felt like I needed to comb through my eyelashes several times after applying. I also felt like it weighed down my eyelashes causing them to go out straight or even down instead of curl upwards.
