Epic Sound for an unbeatable price!
Obviously, you need to have certain requirements before considering buying an Apolloand once you are there, the market is divided by very few players, like UA, RME, Avid, and PreSonus, and you can certainly expect top-notch AD conversion from any of these. However, when it comes to value for money, an Apollo X is a steal. You get about the same 32 Bit AD DAC circuit used in much more expensive studio gear that easily sells for double or triple the price of an Apollo X.Beyond the pristine audio quality, the UA plugins are, well, UA plugins. I don’t even know what I would do without the Neve 1073 let alone the SSL400 or any of the other channel strip plugins. Let’s face it, either you have the all money for the expensive studio gear or you get an Apollo X.Yes, you need proper cables for the Apollo and for sure it makes a meaningful and audible difference, and yes Windows 10 is certainly less than stellar for Audio, and yes, UA could certainly include a Thunderbolt cable in the box, but you know what, the Apollo X is still an amazing piece of hardware and I would buy it any given day because the value and audio quality you get at that price level is just unbelievable. When you listen to the plain output for the first time, you may get a bit underwhelmed; However, just add any of the Chanel strips, a parametric EQ, or whatever plugins suit you and adjust whatever enhances the sound at hand and you will have a hard time to go back to anything less than what the Apollo X produces.Apollo X truly means high-end studio quality in a small and affordable form factor.

Perfection
This is by far one of the best I’ve acquired over the years of recording professionally. It’s built like a tank and is quiet.

Never expected it to be this good … but think about your ports
This this is absolutely insane! To give you context, I’m kind of new to the serious audio recording world, but before purchasing this I had used a Behringer cheapo interface that started giving me problems. After a week of debugging between that, Windows, wires and mic, I ditched all em, and went high end. I was already seriously inside of the Apple ecosystem, so I had a macbook pro to easily pair thunderbolt 3 with this one. Oh wow, does it just work! It auto started driver downloads and package installs. Getting plugins is super simple and easy.Being able to interact with the interface through the console app it installs is super amazing, especially when you’re in the middle of a shoot and only have access to a mouse and you need to up the gain on someone’s mic. VERY NICE!It’s a very premium product that I was very happy to display on my desk. It didn’t get super hot, but definitely got warm to the touch. I love this thing so much.Unfortunately, I had to return it because it didn’t have enough inputs for me. You can only record 2 inputs, regardless of the 2 xlr and 1 line in on the device. line 1 takes over xlr 1 when something is plugged in. I had to spring up for the x4 which I love equally as well. I know it’s a ton of money, but boy is it peace of mind knowing that the problem is never with my Apollo. I’d highly recommend you also sprout for the x4 if you have the money, so that you can easily grow and have something that easily fits on your desktop and looks good (as apposed to the x6 in nearby price range). If you see yourself as a one person band that sings and play guitar though, this will perfectly serve you. Just know that you’d have to add something like a piano via midi through garage band or logic pro which can suck if you love the sounds your roland keyboard makes :DDD

its a great audio interface
great audio interface , it worked very good with my windows 10 , just in some khz i hear some crack sounds . for that i give 4 stars but all of the other features are great to work with live and for record in the daws.

Windows 10 users beware.
Quality components and build quality. Would suggest to wait for a sale, typically comes with more plugins. With that said the device is finicky in Windows 10. Although the website says the drivers are “compatible” with sleep mode, 60% of the time the device drivers crash after waking requiring a full system reboot to fix. Another issues I have come across is the 32 bit depth only option in Windows applications causing some compatibility issues with non DAW softwares. If you are a win10 user I would highly recommend reading up on some of the issues before purchasing. In the end, I would probably still buy it knowing the problems it has with the OS.Edit: UA released new drivers, crashes after sleep mode are less frequent but still happen. However, still using WDM divers for widows sounds.

Level up your home/mobile studio!
This is a professional audio interface and carries the price as such. One great thing about this interface is that it is expandable – meaning you can daisy chain multiple Apollo interfaces to expand your studio over time. This is a great starter for any home or mobile studio to level up to professional equipment.

Pc users beware
Had to return it, PC users beware. Thunderbolt 3 runs into latency issues on pc with pops, crackles and distortion. I believe it’s due to driver latency issues. Run latencymon to see where the prob areas are, might have to disable wifi or other drivers causing the issue.

Best audio interface crispy sound. You won’t regret it. Expensive but is worth the money
Stunning interface. I’m so pleased that I switched to universal audio

It came so quickly! This is just so BOMB, it makes your cheap microphone sound like if it was the big deal. Helps a lot when you stacking a shitload of voices on your mix. + i no longer need to add an imager plugin on my master when i want to mix my in mono since they already offer the option on the interface. Also, the customer service is on point, they helped me registered my product because i couldn’t do it automatically with my laptop! Worth every freaking penny dude. If you hesitate, just buy it.

Purchased it few days back.Received the package in good condition. The box looked fine with proper seal intact.Connected it to my macbook pro with studio monitors TRS cables plugged in for monitoring. It was performing fine. But as I plugged in the XLR cable into the port given at the back the speakers started giving loud hissing noise. And as I turn on the 48V phantom power the hiss was even louder say about 5db.Same happened with the second XLR port.I checked with XLR cables 1 from Hawk and 2 from Neutrix(sonic plumber)There is definitely defect in the XLR ports, maybe some sort of current leakage within the body of apollo twin X I received.

No es posible conectar 2 Apollo Twin a la vez a la computadora ni en daisy chain
