A really good solution for laptops with insufficient ports.
I have gotten these kinds of hubs before but so far none had all the different options this one has. Some had more ports but those had multiples of the some of the same ports and that’s fine. But I wanted some additional versatility so I don’t have to buy a bunch of separate adapters to connect everything. I confess I don’t yet have every single item this thing will accept. I don’t have an SD card yet though I am expecting to when I buy a new camera. So that will be nice. The immediate need was to plug my laptop into my 50 inch screen and I was skeptical but it works! So now my 50 inch TV can now double as my laptop monitor and THAT means I can now watch my streaming videos on the big screen. Yes I know they sell special devices for that. But with this thing I don’t need a new special device every time I want to connect something to my laptop. To say I am happy with this is an understatement.Now I don’t have equipment that can test how fast these connections are. But right now as I write this I am live streaming a video from one website on my big TV while I am writing this on my old 24″ VGA monitor. No lag time. Everything is running as fast as expected and I also have a news feed in a P in P running while watching that movie. It’s handling all that with no problem.Every hub is different and fits different needs. This does not have a couple of things that my other hub does. But it has things it doesn’t so I have now completed my expansion needs with this.The look and feel of this is also of something of good quality so I expect it will last for some time.
