Works great but dries the skin a little
This product right out of the box smells great works great lathers well and leave my Pitbull clean and rash free. The only issue may be how well it cleans, can leave the skin a little dry so after a bath I moisturize my Pit and since we switched to this shampoo he hasn’t been showing signs of itch anymore from allergies. So other than the dry skin this shampoo is exactly what I hoped it would be.

Did not work but had good smell
I was excited to give this shampoo to my mom to use on her pug/Chihuahua mix with dry itchy skin. The product did not alleviate the itching but actually made it worse! The only good thing about this expensive snake oil is that it smells good. Wish I could ask for a refund.

I have a highly allergy sensitive white boxer. He gets Cytopoint injections to help reduce his allergy reactions. In addition to that, I’ve been using VetOne’s Ketohex Shampoo which unfortunately is no longer available on Amazon. I did some research and found that although this shampoo doesn’t offer the antifungal properties, it is made with a combination of natural ingredients that I was interested in giving a try. It’s only been a few hours since his bath but he has itched much less than he was before his bath. The shampoo is a clear formula. I read reviews about it’s scent and not leaving a “wet dog” smell like others do. I can say this was probably one of the highlights in making this purchase! Usually, my boy has that smell for quite a bit after his bath and even leaves the bathroom smelling like it also. Not with this stuff! No lingering smell! Looking forward to seeing how this works on him long term.

Overall a pretty good product, helpful with relieving itchiness for my dog. The smell is herbal — minty and eucalyptus-like. Doesn’t lather all that much but we all know lathering doesn’t do anything — it’s just an ingredient added to make consumers feel they’re “cleaning.”I bought this for my senior dog, who was suffering from severe skin rashes, yeast buildup and sores. He was allergic to grass — I say “was” because just weeks later I had to put him down 🙁 This shampoo helped make his last weeks more comfortable. Immediately following each bath, I noticed a significant reduction in scratching and paw-licking. Unfortunately his health had deteriorated so badly, nothing could’ve really saved him but at least this provided some relief.I would recommend this product for dogs with sensitive skin and/or allergies. There are lots of strong chemicals out it’s not really a far stretch to imagine some of these chemicals might have adverse effects on dogs — especially smaller ones considering their weight relative to the concentration of pesticides, etc. My old dog’s paws would flare up especially after a round of grass treatment outside my apartment.I have used other brands of shampoo and I can say this is one of the best out there. I used harsher shampoos that promised to wipe out dermatitis but I always felt a little bad putting my dog through such treatments. This brand of shampoo is more gentle, but equally effective. Dog smells much better after a wash, without that artificial smell you get from commercial shampoos.Product arrived in a timely fashion. Nicely packaged. Would buy from again.
