Our Chinchilla’s LOVE it!
We have 2 chinchillas now and they both absolutely LOVE this – especially the extras in this…. I can’t find what the heck they’re called but looks like oats and flowers or some sort. They come up to the cage and stick their noses through to get a treat lol. I can’t urge enough, though, when first introducing (and forever really), make sure you MIX THE PELLETS WITH HAY!! I had one chinchilla pass away when I first ordered this stuff and they couldn’t tell me exactly why, but I think he ate too much of the pellets and not enough hay with it. 🙁 Just ease them in to eating it so it doesn’t upset their digestive system. Other than that, it’s great and they love it!

They could add a little more different treats with the pellets. My chinchilla eats all the treats first and then the regular pellets. Also good for his digestive system compared to other brand.

My chinchillas approve
I’ve been giving this to my chinchillas since I got them and they’re pretty healthy. I can’t find this in any local places and this is what any chinchilla should be eating. The “chinchilla food” at local pet stores do not meet their nutrition requirements.

Great food. Chinchilla loves it
My chinchilla has been on this food for 5 years and i was bummed when they changed the recipe. Needless to say, my chinchilla wasn’t happy either and was only wanting the original blend. After the mixing the two, crossing my fingers, and panicking he wasn’t going to eat it, he was being very stubborn 😅, he finally accepted the change and ate it. He’s now still on vitakraft and enjoying the new formula. I only wish the company would’ve somehow let customers know in advance that a change was coming.
