They never tell you when you buy a refrigerator with an ice maker that you are going to need a water filter. These do a great job and last about 6 months. They are a bit pricey but worth it. They are easy to change although their location isn’t really conveniently placed in my refrigerator.

I have a GE refrigerator and had been buying the GE filter from Amazon. It wasn’t until I saw this one while scanning and read the reviews on it. I decided to try it and I’m very happy I did. I had no problem getting it in and it fits my fridge perfectly. I ran the water and didn’t see any charcoal like some other buyers. I’m not sure why, however the water tastes great and is nice and clear. Also, the price is much less than the GE so I’m happy I took the time to research it especially since I change it every 6 months.
