Excellent docking station hub/laptop stand from WAVLINK
I’d actually wondered why you don’t see a multi-monitor docking station in the laptop stand form factor all over the place. Anyway, WAVLINK has added this to their expansive line of computer connectivity accessories. First things first–it says it doesn’t support Linux systems but if you know what you’re doing you won’t have any trouble. I’ve used it with a variety of Linux distros including my current ‘daily driver’ laptop running Ubuntu. It may be distro dependent but I’ve found that if you use one of the more widely support distros (eg: Ubuntu) there’s not many peripherals you can’t run.I’ve also used it with Mac OS and Windows 10 & 11. Should you need to install a driver just hit the WAVLINK website and you’ll have no trouble finding the link. I didn’t need to install one on any of my test computers but that’s a thing that varies from OS to OS and has nothing to do with Wavlink. I found it extremely easy to set up and get running on all of the half dozen or so laptops I tried it with.Once it’s up and running, you’ve got a ton of options. It has a total of 13 ports which not only gives you the ability to use multiple monitors but also gives you plenty of room for other peripherals. Even cutting edge laptops are stingy with USB ports so if you’re a ‘power user’ you can always benefit from more. Data transfer rates are very good and the device supports 80W pass-through charging. I’ve always been a big fan of WAVLINK products and this is one of my favorites. It’s great being able to combine the functionality of a laptop stand and a docking station in one unit. Highly recommended!

Review for the Dual 4K Monitor Support via DisplayLink:I am using the HDMI connections and not the Displayport connections and have not had any issues. There is one glaring concern.There are two removable Media Card readers on this device, and for whatever reason when using Windows 10, the Card Readers will populate in Windows even if there are no Cards inserted in the dock. This is not normally observed for any other card reader that I have used in the past, nor other docks with card readers that I own.Caution: If you are planning to use this with Linux, then please verify that your Distribution has drivers available for DisplayLink. If you go to the DisplayLink website not all Distributions are supported out of the box, and as of this writing the driver is not included in the base Linux Kernel.

Works Great For My MacBook!
I recently purchased the WAVLINK USB-C Docking Station, and it has significantly enhanced my productivity and workstation setup! This docking station allows me to connect dual monitors, and the performance has been outstanding.Setting it up was straightforward, and I was impressed with the array of ports available. The dual 4K HDMI and DisplayPort connections work flawlessly, providing stunning visuals that really elevate my work and gaming experience. I love having the ability to run two monitors simultaneously at high resolution; it’s a game changer for multitasking!The 5Gbps USB 3.0 ports are another plus, allowing for quick data transfers. The inclusion of Gigabit Ethernet gives me a stable internet connection, which is essential for my work-from-home setup. The 100W power delivery feature is a lifesaver as well; it charges my laptop while I work without needing an additional charger.One minor drawback is that, at times, I’ve noticed a slight lag when waking my displays from sleep mode, but itâs not a dealbreaker. Good docking station but wish it had it’s own power brick
This is a pretty good docking station. Works great with both my XPS13 as well as my Thinkpad. Fit and finish are top notch with a nice anodized aluminum chassis and stiff hinges so it stays where you put it. Functionally, it does exactly what it says and i get full functionality with all ports. Only issue that i ran into is t hat the displays were blinking out on me from time to time on the XPS. I finally figured out that the power brick that came with the laptop just didn’t output enough power. Once i upgraded to a bigger power brick, problems went away. Overall, i’m pretty happy with this docking station. There’s always a little concern with the docking station being permanently attached to the stand (since if one fails, you lose both) but the stands nowadays are cheap so it’s not a deal breaker.

I really was just looking for a simple stand to go along side my monitor and replace one of the USB connection hubs. I have a Mac.My extended monitor will not work through this HubThey send instructions to download software to use the hub. RIDICULOUS!!!Complicated web location apparently they never heard of QR codesOnce on the website, you cannot tell what download you need because they are trying to sell you other stuff you don’t need

Cons: Not great sales, the usb port is not stable for my gaming keyboard. The keyboard will lose connection to the Macbook after a day or 2 that I have to unplug and plug it back again. It is not the big deal because I can just plug it in another usb c hub. Any other devices use usb port, such as gaming mouse, are not have the same problems. Maybe because of the keyboardâs led use more energy than the mouse and the product is just come out and is not stable it. Anyway, canât expect more from a new product like this. Worth to buy.

I’ve been using this docking station that doubles as a stand for my laptop for a few months, which has significantly improved my workspace. By elevating my laptop to the perfect eye level, it has cleared my desk and made more space available. The stand positions the laptop screen at the same height as my external monitor, allowing for a seamless transition between screens.The convenience of connecting and disconnecting my laptop with ease has made my daily workflow much smoother. The only improvement I would suggest is adding one more USB-C port. Currently, I’m using the USB-C port on the laptop, which is manageable, but having an extra port on the docking station would be ideal.I’ve also purchased a desk riser, and together with the docking station, they work exceptionally well. Overall, this is an amazing product that I highly recommend to anyone looking to enhance their workspace efficiency.
