Until The Dog Eats Them
I have an occasional need to play on my PC through the night. To keep this poor choice to myself I need to be quiet. So there have been head phones around here for use on the occasion of my indiscretion. However all but wired have failed to be ready when I am. First off no app is allowed to add it self to my life just for some head phones (or anything) to work. So no apps. The irritating part is that all the wireless ones want to blue tooth up and such BS. Besides that all of them are less comfortable than speakers it must be such that a month from now when I need head phones due to a new game or show. I do not need to look up how it works. It needs to turn on and go with minimal thought. It is not like I am going to stop the party because the head phones require a masters degree to work. If it does not work out of the box (after topping off the charge) without me doing more than checking the button function and or plugging in a dongle it will not work. Not going to sort out blue tooth or other connection problems at 11 PM when I am forced by decency to tone down the sound. This set came with a nice storage box as if anticipating my type of infrequent use. I opened it and looked over the accompanying accessories. The cords and a dongle and a mic. I plugged in the mic and went straight to charging with an idle cord in the charging area. A red lite up solid. I set the unit down to charge. Took a cursory look at the super fine print instructions before moving on for about an hour or so as it charged. The information I gleaned was when the red light went out it was charged and there was a multi-functional on off switch. I do not like any multi-function switches. I find these are mostly dysfunctional switches. The control patterns mimic special moves A A B Y X X left right down. So not going to work when I come back in a month or two. So the thing must work without reading the instructions every time. After charge was done took the phones and the dongle that came with it and plugged it in to a front usb port on my tower, pressed the multi-function button to turn on and then watched the red color on the dongle pressed a bit more the dongle reacted with red and then blue and then done…..without using the instructions, which I will not be referencing until they stop working. As such I fully expect be able to plug this dongle in and use the head phones in an offhand and cavalier way until the dog eats them. Plus if I keep them in the case that may be a long wait.

Serviceable gaming headphones
For conferencing or games, I think these are adequate and not too bad. I think the build quality feels a bit cheap, and would be afraid to test how long they can last. The cans do not sound anything close to headphones I use in a much higher price range, but putting the price in context, they are redeemable.

Not for my nephew
I was actually thinking of giving these to my nephew, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do that as I think these were made for me. The ear muffs are extremely comfortable but are of a slightly denser foam which is a great texture. Yet they don’t make my ears to hot. I’m told the mic on here sounds great to those who are listening and for me the headphones themselves has a solid sound. Great for sound effects, but also work well for listening to movies and music (to a degree. not bad, just a little too prominent in certain areas)I think they punch well above their price point.

Bulky
I am not a gamer. I got this for the purpose of dictating and drowning out all the environmental sounds. But these are so bulky and I don’t like them.

Excellent quality!
These are as good as name brand and my daughter loves to game so she is having a blast with these. Her name brands broke and she is happier with these!

Keep working on it…
I was really excited to not be tethered to my desk while listening to lofi on YouTube, and to dull the roar of my children, and yet still be able to get up and fetch the dog’s toy so he’ll leave me alone. These earphones come in really nice packaging, with a carrying case, charging cable, wired connector and removable microphone. Very neat and great peripherals. Now for the bad news: when I picked up the earphones, I felt the worst texture on the planet: STICKY. The texture of the outside of the headphones was meant to be matte and slightly textured, but something must have gone terribly wrong in the fabrication process because it turned out sticky. Everything sticks to these: dust, dog hair, lent, etc. Not a good look and reminds me way too much of all the surfaces in the house that my children have touched. Finally, the biggest challenge beside the texture that I’ve had is the connection point sticks sometimes and I have to unplug the Bluetooth transmitter from my PC and reconnect it. Not what I thought I’d get at this price point. Overall it’s been a good choice, and I continue to use them, but when something else becomes available I’ll likely switch over.
