a very nice case at a good price
There are similarly price versions of this case, but this one is better made with higher grade materials, and is better looking. It also fits the camera like a glove – the competitor (which I owned, was a poor fit). The only problem is that the hole left in the bottom of the case to line up with the small mic is not perforated all the way through. I was able to fix that with a wooden Q-tip swab handle, though.

Great design, good materials and finishing, attractive cost – what else is there to look for ?If you absolutely want your protective case to bear the SONY logo and are willing to pay three times as much for that, go ahead if that makes you happy. It is possible the same people make the SONY version- wouldn’t that be ironic ?

Nice material but the design should be improved
My RX100 and RX100 VI fit pretty well, but the case is a bit too large vs the camera height… The attachment for the strap is placed too much at the front, and because of that the camera leans backwards… This attachment should also be placed a few millimeters higher… I just don’ t understand why such obvious design errors were made… The material is nice… I’ll keep the camera case as there aren’t other similar options at this price point…

A great little case
This fits my RX100 III perfectly and is held in by the screw that fits in the tripod hole in the bottom of the camera. The outer portion of this screw is drilled and tapped so you fit it to a tripod while still in the case. The case looks like leather and the inside is lined with a soft suede like material which should help further protect the camera against knocks and scratches and this same material is used on the underside of the strap to provide a non-slip surface. I have been carrying this camera in a bag but will be using this case to further take advantage of the camera’s small size and will leave the bag in the car to retain the extra batteries and SD cards during hikes. A great little case at a good price. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I have not had it long enough to rate it on Durability.

Good protection for the camera
The primary purpose of having a case is to protect the camera. This case serves that purpose well. The material is thicker than I expected, which is a good thing. The bottom has the most padding so it provides a lot of cushion if the camera falls and hits the bottom. The back also has good padding so if something were to strike the back of the camera, the LCD should not be broken. All other parts have adequate padding so this is a really good case to protect the camera.However, there are a few drawbacks. First of all, the fit and finish isn’t great. If you look closely, the quality isn’t there but that’s a cosmetic issue. The bottom screw is threaded so in theory, you can attach the camera to a tripod. However, the thread goes through the thick base cushion so the camera will be wobbly if you try attach it to a tripod without first removing the case. The enclosed straps are pretty flimsy but that’s not a problem for me. I have always had a good aftermarket strap from one of the respected brands so this was not a drawback for me. One cannot access the battery compartment without taking the camera out of the case. This is a minor inconvenience but not a showstopper for me. Also and because of the bulk of the case, the camera is no longer “pocketable”. However, it was always questionable whether I would carry the camera in my pocket so I don’t consider this a drawback, either.At the end of the day, this case provides superior protection for the camera and that’s really all that matters.

Doesn’t fit perfectly but does the job!
I bought this to protect my new Sony rx100 m3, and it fits great, it’s hard to find a perfect case that fits perfectly and so Ofcourse this doesn’t fit perfectly because it’s a universal case, but it does the job and it was great for the price. I’m definitely going to be using this case from now on when we go on adventures. And I love the vintage vibe it gives off too.

Works with 3ed party filter adapters…
Just to clear I seldom comment on products but this is outstanding. While it is not leather, the case feels and looks like the real thing with excellent construction and fit. It fits my RX 100 VI perfectly and as a plus it works with a haze filer attached as the case allows a perfect fit preventing the adhesive mounted filter adapter ring (3ed party) from pulling off…As I said the product is outstanding and perfectly matches the RX 100 VI but your experience may be different with different models…

Excellent camera case for the Sony RX camera.It looks good, protects the camera and is easy to use and is certainly better than my previous case that attached to my belt. When in use I leave it around my neck and just unclip it when I want to take a photo.
