Tried this one mounted on my articulating stand. Easy to install but did lack the nut required to attach to the microphone stand. Had to borrow one from another mic, guess they figure if you have the stand then you have the nut, but would make it convenient to have an extra as they do seem pretty universal, and in one of the advertising pictures it shows one (but the description doesn’t seem to state it comes in the box).Price point, $40-$50 isn’t really bad for the features you get in this mic. If your budget allows though, there are better options that will cost an additional $20.Don’t expect to do voiceover work with this (I didn’t but just want to be clear) This is an entry-level mic to upgrade from a really cheap Five Below mic or replace a gaming headset mic that broke.You have to really appreciate the capacitive touch mute and the RGB goes red to let you know your mic is muted, this is probably the outstanding feature of this mic, so convenient.Tested on my Mac Mini M4 Pro and iPhone 12 (with included USB-A to thunderbolt adapter) with the voice recorder app (no filtering) and Discord with Krisp. No complaints on Discord but my friends agreed my old mic sounded better.I’ll be giving this one to my son, he’s excited as he gets a lot of complaints about the buit-in mic in his headset being too quiet.

Good Beginner Mic
I got the Haomuren XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone to record some basic voiceovers to go with some presentations I do for work. These are for training purposes so they don’t need to be incredibly good quality, but I wanted them to be better than using the condenser mic that’s on my laptop as those make you sound distant sometimes. The microphone looks good, but I’m not thrilled about its “plastic” feel. The base is wide and I like that it has a foam padding to keep it secured on a desk. I really like that it is both a USB-C input and an XLR because most mics like these only have the USB-C. The large mute button on the front of the mic is nice and the control knob is a nice size. The LED ring is pretty cool, although it’s not something that I necessarily needed. For my needs, this microphone does the trick and would recommend this as a good beginner microphone.

Man muss es sich “schön” einstellen.Als Anmerkung zuerst: Dieses Mikrofon zielt nicht auf professionelle Nutzung ab. Es ist für einfache Plug&Play-Anwendung konzipiert. Schon allein das hier ein LED-Band im Gehäuse eingelassen ist, zeigt, dass hier mein Schein als Sein am Werk ist.Alle Personen die das Mikrofon am USB, am besten noch am Handy ausprobiert haben, sind dem ganzen Potential dieses Mikros nicht im Entferntesten auf den Grund gegangen. Klar, der Hersteller suggeriert es., aber es müsste jedem, der sich mal annähernd mit Audioaufzeichnung beschäftigt hat, klar sein, dass USB-Mikros einfach ein riesen Manko haben; die Nachbearbeitung und die Stromzufuhr. Am Handy ganz besonders. Für Podcasts ist das Gerät leider völlig fehl am Platz. Ohne vernünftigen Kanalzug ist das eher ein Abenteuer als ein Vergnügen. Das Mikro ist für TimTam, der mal als High-Performance-Gamer seinen Rant in die Lobby pustet, aber ehrlich: Podcast?Nein. USB-Funktionalität teste ich bei solchen Mikrofonen grundsätzlich nicht mehr, da dies meist in einem Rant meinerseits gipfelt.Als ich das Mikrofon mit Verpackung aus dem Umkarton zog, war erstmal sehr verblüfft, dass der gesamte Karton so extrem leicht war. Beim auspacken kam dann auch schnell die Erkenntnis warum. Das Mikrofon samt Standfuà wiegt lediglich nur 331g, wie die Küchenwaage bestätigt. Somit ist der Fuà das erste was demontiert wird, damit kann kein stabiler Stand gewährleiste werden. Die Sichtung des mitgelieferten Zubehörs brachte ein Gabel zur Montage des Mikrofons an einem Mikrofonarm zum Vorschein. Also wurde es dort montiert und das PodMic demontiert. Das vorhandene, nicht mitgelieferte, XLR-Kabel wurde angeschlossen und dann gleich mal festgestellt, dass der Gain am Mikrofon das Mikro sofort zum klippen brachte. Nach Reduzierung um 10dB konnte hier nun auch ein vernünftiges Ergebnis erzielt werden. Bei deaktivierter Bearbeitung hat das Mikrofon ein auffällig geringes Eigenrauschen und die Umgebungsgeräusche bleiben dezent aus der Aufnahme heraus. Alle Tasten am Mikrofon sind im XLR-Betrieb natürlich auÃer Funktion, da hier der Mixer/das Interface die Mute-Funktion und die Aussteuerung übernimmt. Auch die LED bleiben dunkel., ist dann also nur möglich separat per USB Strom auf die LEDs zu bekommen, falls man denn unbedingt zwei Kabel verlegen will. Ergänzend dazu: Durch das geringe Eigengewicht kann man am Mikrofonarm sparen, da hier der Arm kein Kraft aufbringen muss, um das Mikro in Position zu halten.Die Sprechposition in das Mikrofon ist direkt von oben, da hier die Kapsel sitzt, leicht zu sehen, wenn man den Schaumstoff-Popschutz mal abzieht. Bewegungen am Arm und klopfen auf den Tisch werden instant das Mikro weitergeleitet, da kein Schwingungsdämpfung verbaut ist. Hier dann den Arm an der Wand aufhängen, oder an einem separaten Tisch befestigen. Wenn man diese Informationen für sich nun verarbeitet hat, ist das Interface am Zug. Mit eingestelltem Gate und einem Compressor ist die Qualität recht ansehnlich. Ich habe es an einem RodecasterPro II und an einem Roland Bridge Cast betrieben. Beide lieferten das selbe, für mich zufriedenstellende, Ergebnis. Ich bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob ein Betrieb an einem ebenfalls auch günstig zu erwerbenden Interface auch so gut funktioniert, da diese in der Verstärkung leider nicht wirklich glänzen können.
