BEWARE: Different Mold Used for Red Utensil Set
Not sure if these pictures justify what I’m trying to show, but the corners of the red utensil set under the “assorted color” version are made from a different mold than the other sets in the box. Probably a pre-design mold before moving to market. They do not have the same small bump or lip on the four corners as the other colors. I also ordered the “multi-color ones” and they all have the bump/lip to keep the top lid secured to the bottom case where the utensils sit. Any slight movement in a bag has the lid popping off. I bought these as gifts. Amazon was not able to replace the select pieces only the whole box and I do not have enough time also if the red set is still manufactured on a different mold than the rest of the sets, the replacement defeats the purpose. Other than this defect the quality of the other colors is very good. It’s a sturdy utensil for traveling and in nice colors for everyone. I just hope the seller works with the manufacturer to fix that defect. I purchased two sets of the “assorted colors” and a shame I’m unable to use 8 of them as gifts.
